Rsquared
So I FINALLY was able to make it out to the range Sunday morning, and spend a little time with my AR-10 SBR. Those that have followed this little drama on and off, know the story of the handguard breakage........both F-ing times. So I won't bore anybody in the studio audience with going over that mess again. Anyway. Besides installing the new Noveske/SWS rail on the girl, I also upgraded her trigger from the standard Armalite 2 stage trigger, to a Geissele SSA. I also installed the port door without bending the F-ing rod this time (a whole other speedbump that made me see red one day) I think that I posted right after that debacle. I think that I did all of this about a month ago. Between being busy for work...or just shear laziness on weekends with time, I haven't got her back out to even run function checks since being reassembled pretty much from the ground up on the upper. So..................without further ado.........................(drum roll in the background). She ran fukin flawless. It's been quite a while since I've run this thing. Hell...I almost forgot how much I enjoy playing with this fire-breathing little bitch. I ran about 200 rounds through her. Some fast...some slow. She never even burped. Now...she slings the brass pretty good. She chucks them about a good 15 feet away at about the 4 o'clock position. I tried warning this yuck-a-puck that eventually showed up and was trying to set up right where she was chucking them too. But he wasn't interested in taking any advice. I guess he's a REAL MAN. <laughs> So.....what did I do? Ran about two more mags through her at a fairly quick pace.....cleaned up my brass and packed up. <lmao> He didn't seem too happy. FUK EM.....I warned him and he didn't want to listen. This is why I hate people at gun ranges (or anywhere else for that matter). Always trying to ruin my good time. <laughs> And.....I'm liking the new trigger in her too. But we all know what Geissele's are all about. So in closing ladies..........SHE LIVES! Well you could use one of these on a close quarters range. Only less than $60 not bad if you don't want to chase brass on some other shooters area. It will pay for itself in saved brass. You shoot em over in my lane that I'm paying for and what lands here stays here...hear? It wouldn't be real safe to try picking up brass close to where I'm shooting, I may get distracted. survivalshop
Why the SSA , put one of the MechArmor Trigger Modules in there & you might like that SBR a lot more , that Trigger out right fast. Not saying the SSA isn't , but the Two stage seems to me a little slow on reset . Whats the BBL. length on that SBR ?

Rsquared
Big negative on the brass catcher. Too bulky. And this is a private club I'm shooting at....and I warned the MF-er. And it was still early in the morning.....AND the first time I made it out to the range in months. And besides.....he was just dicking with a little poodle gun. So mine had a lot more BARK to it. <laughs>
Rsquared
Whats the BBL. length on that SBR ? 12" Noveske barrel. The Leonidas that they use to make.
blue109
Sometimes I think it would be fun to machine a brake with ports only on one side, and install it aiming at dickheads and know it alls. Maybe even a QD attachment so you don't have to take your real device off. Mikedaddy? Shibbi? Is this doable?
Rsquared
pics? I thought that I already posted these somewhere. But.....my memory ain't worth a dam'n these days. Or it didn't happen. Oh.....it happened big boy.

blue109
With an internal baffle like a krink brake to push every ounce of pressure and noise right into his bench! Where can I preorder? Edited July 22, 2015 by blue109
