I never notice the new PMag for the .308ARs until I was cruising DSG Arms tonight...

PMAG 25 M118 LR/SR GEN M3 Window

The PMAG 25 M118 LR/SR GEN M3 Window is a 25-round .308 Winchester PMAG which is compatible with M118 LR and other match ammo under 2.830″ in length. It still features the same 25-round capacity, constant-curve body, anti-tilt follower, snap on impact/dust cover, and transparent windows as the standard variant, however The M118 LR/SR GEN 3 Window features a red follower to differentiate itself from the standard PMAG 25 LR/SR.

Not sure how long they've actually been out - just found out about them tonight.

Here's the link: Mags

See the fashion Tom used? Make it a product report in this section...you're safe. We already tried that one in court. Tom won. Just don't ask who has tried one, or how well do they work.

I used 118 in my normal PMAGs just fine. Wonder how much more room they crammed in there and if it hurt them at all?

I wonder if they have the same or better capacity that the polymer FAL mags for the Rock River do.

With my most recent experience with the 20 rd. Gen 3 PMags I have , that are so tight in the Mag well , you have to use your whole hand to pull them out & both malfunctioned , I would not want to try another that might be the same way. I like mine to drop free , but I could see if the speed of a mag drop would not be a problem in a concealed static position .

I would think the tightness would be fore & aft , would not pose as much of a problem as the pressure on the sides ,like my 20rd. Gen. 3 Pmags ,that are not reliable . Still have not heard back from Magpul , if they don't contact me by Friday , I'm calling to bitch.

I've got a 25 round windowed mag it fits like all my other mags, GOOD. Mines different than this one tho my follower is gray, mine just says pmag 25LR/SR W.

I have two also of the 25 rounders & they fit fine in all my 308AR's , but the Gen. 3 ,20's don't . That's what I find strange , they are all Gen. 3's . The first Gen.'s are fine also .

Not sure how long they have been out but they were on sale as part of Primary Arms "blazin summer sale 2". They were $17 ish. I was gonna grab a few but already have 20 of the regular grey follower 25 round mags.

I know the 25's are Gen 3 , at least the ones I have are , the 10's , depends on when they were bought , the new ones read Gen. 3 .

They had to make more room for the heavier bullets , tis why the will have a problem fitting some Receiver .

I've got a gen 3 20 and it drops free from my Matrix lower. It feels just the same as my 25 rounders, though, maybe just an out of spec lot?

These are measurements of the samples I have . I think I got some from  a bad batch also .

My 10's have an m3 on the bottom of them I assume that means gen 3

Called & talked to tech support at Magpul , first thing he asked me is what color of follower I had in the Mags I was having problems with , they are a gray/green color . They asked to send a description of the problem & some photos , so I sent them the ones from my previous post . He did say the same thing 98 said about the catch area & said it may need to be trimmed , up then I told him about the differences in widths & they wanted to see for them self .

I told them there was no way I was going to trim 30-40 thou. off the sides of the mag . & still trust it  <dontknow>

You know , they never answered my first E-mail , wonder if I have an issue with my email , I guess I wait & see.
