i have searched and can't find anything. how do i remove my collapsable stock butt stock on my DPMS LR-308 oracle. i am replacing it with a magpul one.  thanks

After separating the upper from the lower, remove the buffer & spring from the buffer tube (press the pin down to let the buffer travel over it and out of the tube). Then loosen the castle-nut, being careful to hold the end-plate and not let the detent spring fly away and get lost (DPMS shows the spring being held in by the end-plate horizontally but mine is held in vertically by the grip so it may not be an issue anyway). Last, unscrew the stock from the lower receiver. Reassemble in reverse order.

Frank, that's waaaaaaaayyy too much info/work for what the OP wants to do. He's just asking how to swap stocks, not change the whole stock assembly.

this one here, the guy at Cheaper than dirt said i could just swap out the butt stocks, wouldn't need to buy anything else. i hope he was right, i already ordered it.

As long as the Oracle comes with a commercial buffer tube it will swap right in.  Good call on the ACS. Awesome stock. One of my favorites.

    Yes , should measure the outside diameter of the Receiver Extension ( Buffer Tube )

your welcome, like I say if it's not on you tube I'd really be surprised. Few years back I put a clutch kit in my four wheeler thanks to YouTube.
