Frankh252
i have searched and can't find anything. how do i remove my collapsable stock butt stock on my DPMS LR-308 oracle. i am replacing it with a magpul one. thanks After separating the upper from the lower, remove the buffer & spring from the buffer tube (press the pin down to let the buffer travel over it and out of the tube). Then loosen the castle-nut, being careful to hold the end-plate and not let the detent spring fly away and get lost (DPMS shows the spring being held in by the end-plate horizontally but mine is held in vertically by the grip so it may not be an issue anyway). Last, unscrew the stock from the lower receiver. Reassemble in reverse order.

Robocop1051
Frank, that's waaaaaaaayyy too much info/work for what the OP wants to do. He's just asking how to swap stocks, not change the whole stock assembly. Edited February 25, 2016 by Robocop1051
