And the legs did extend past my muzzle, but I saw no ill effect on accuracy when legs were forward. The other benefit I found to having the legs pointed forward, though this shouldn't have much affect on a bench shooter, I used a vertical grip and found with the legs pointing towards me, they got in the way of the vertical grip. Having the legs pointed forward I was able to have much more freedom with the vertical grip and other attachments I put on my rifle. To this day, any rifle I put a harris bipod on, I have the legs usually forward. Thanks ART. Think I'll take it to the range and try it both ways.

Thanks Bean, talked to Fulton today, they said my barrel was in and should be on its way. Last piece to the puzzle. Wish I did the black parts in Cerakote though to keep the color more consistent in those areas. Maybe next winter.
BIGBREW Posted April 15, 2017 Author Report Posted April 15, 2017 She's together. Scope is just for mock up. My father in law gave it to me, now i know why, you can't see anything through it. New one here next week. Now i just need to neuter it so she meets the rules.
ChaoticReason Posted April 15, 2017 Report Posted April 15, 2017 Very nice! Looks like you're about to have a lot of fun out at the range.
BIGBREW Posted April 18, 2017 Author Report Posted April 18, 2017 F ME! New scope is 30mm not 1" my nice matching rings won't work. Now i have to have another set painted.
BIGBREW Posted April 21, 2017 Author Report Posted April 21, 2017 Well if you want to know what a NYS legal AR10 looks like, here it is. Not going to lie shooting this may totally suck, there's nothing to hold onto. Sketchy at best I'm guessing.

I expect NY commies will say you could use the bipod as a hand hold.

98Z5V Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 It's gonna be tough as hell to get a good cheek weld with that scope so high. Might need a chin weld...

I was referring to how the commie authorities in NY would interpret it/ Besides, I actually have those long monkey arms and can easily use a bipod as a forward handhold, even on my 20" barrel creedmoor build,I know I've tried it.

Yep, I tried that high mount when I first got an AR-10, tried a setup that allowed you to see the irons under the scope, changed it real fast. Heads up height works for red dots/ Binion type sight pictures but scopes need to be kept as low as possible IMHO.

Believe it or not for me it doesn't seem bad, scope was touching the handguard the other way with the old scope. I can add the kit to my stock, got a few birthdays going on this month so ill probably grab it in a few weeks. I just threw the scope on quick last night going to give it a test run on Sunday. Scope has to come back off the rings are being sent out to be color matched to the gun. The first set of rings I had were then I changed scopes and needed 30mm rings, ill try as get it lower when it goes back together the next time. Thanks for the advice.

BIGBREW Posted April 24, 2017 Author Report Posted April 24, 2017 So finally got to put a few rounds through the gun this weekend. Think I might have an issue. Take a look at these primers. Fulton Armory headspaced barrel.
sketch Posted April 24, 2017 Report Posted April 24, 2017 Opening jitters it will behave sooner than later... how was the functionality?
BIGBREW Posted April 25, 2017 Author Report Posted April 25, 2017 Only problem I had at first was the bolt wouldn't lock in. Pulled the carrier group out and slapped a little Rem Oil on it, put it back together and it seemed ok after that. It's throwing shells at about 3pm and about five feet.
