I've come to the conclusion that the next step is 7.62x51. I love my AK, but I also love building... and that's a bitch in AK land--I love the smell of a virginal stripped AR pattern lower in the morning or when I snag one from my LGS. planeflyer21 Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 Welcome from AZ! Building a .308AR is a whole different ballgame than their smaller "mil-spec" brothers. The first key will be a matched receiver set from one manufacturer. The second key will be paying close attention to detail.
