I've never seen these minishells before.  Damned interesting!

I learned about them here a few years back I think

I am not sure íf they will feed into an autoloader or pump. I used them in a breach loading double barrel shotgun. I sent Tom the location where there are in Phx. That place I won't buy from again has them (CTD).

AmmoToGo regularly has both buckshot and slugs.

I had a case of the buckshot for years, never had a shotty that would cycle them.  Pretty cool Mossberg addressed the issue, at least with the Shockwave.

Okay, I'm having trouble wrapping my head around how this 590 Shockwave is a non-NFA piece.

IIRC, any shotgun with an overall length of less than 26" OR a barrel of less than 18" in length, as measured from the breech, falls under NFA. SBS = $200 tax stamp and Form 4.

The mag capacity is too large for it to qualify as an AOW. $5 stamp and Form 4.

I trust that Mossberg has done their homework, but the lawyer in me wants to know how this works.

EDIT: The only way I can see (without looking up the NFA right now) is this: Since it leaves the manufacturer with a pistol grip, rather than a shoulder stock, and the capacity is large enough to be a 'firearm,' rather than an AOW, maybe it's one of those "loopholes" the blue-staters are always whining about.

The overall length is 26.37" , it does not have a pistol grip. It weighs 5.25 lbs and has a capacity of 6 rounds.

It certainly looks like a grip on the early pistols. :hornet:

I know it, and it's damn sexy, too.  I bought mine in the MarineCoat flavor, but that's just the receiver. I'm thinking mine might be getting stripped down and Cerakoted...   :laffs:

They did it right.

You know...   I'm already painting on Saturday...  and I got more Cerakote in...  I might give this thing the business...
