EngrBob
Agreed. I have looked at these and while it might be interesting to do just for the sake of doing it a brand new Glock is cheaper. I already have a 17 and a 36 so I am on lists for those so I really don't need a ghost Glock at a higher price.
Robocop1051
They have a compact frame come soon, the PF940C. Fits the 19 & 23. It look really good with the true 1913 rail and flat grip. Www.polymer80.com
Robocop1051
it comes in a slick frame or textured frame. The slick frame is for custom stippling.

ARTrooper
If you want to make a glock better, buy a sig and throw the glock in the trash

Robocop1051
I'm not a Glock fan... but I am in love with their magazines (not specifically "Glock" brand). Their magical ability to defy space and matter, allowing inconceivable amounts of ammo in a lightweight body.... all for under $20. Sig won't send me a bumper sticker for less than $20. I own a P226 .40 now. Been carrying it on duty, off and on, for 15 years. I tried the P220 and the P227, and both failed me in duty. The P226 is getting retired for a Glock 41 MOS and getting turned into my Class-A show piece... and possibly converted into a 9mm.
EngrBob
I guess I will have to go back and see why so many folks don't like Glocks. My 17, with night sights, just fires every time I pull the trigger, with any ammo I put in that lightweight magazine, and puts those projectiles into a nice little circle out to 25 yards without much effort. My 36 is very small and can be easily concealed and like the 17 has gone bang every time I have pulled the trigger with any ammo I care to run through it. It doesn't have as many bullets available as the 17, but they are .45 hollow points so I wouldn't want to get hit with them. Now the 19 is just another 9 mm but the 23 is a .40. Do I want another caliber to load??????
MikedaddyH
I have been looking into this one from http://www.lonewolfdist.com/ The Timberwolf and the 80%Spectra which is $
ARTrooper
lol. I really don't have anything against glock except it is just not a comfortable pistol for me so I don't shoot it as well as others. I just like to cause trouble when it comes to glock talk. Because they spent far more money on a gun with far less reliability... Oh snap!!!
guruofhotrod
I've read a few reviews of the Poly 80 glock frame by people that are really into the 80% handgun stuff and the most common opinion is that they aren't that good especially for people that are just getting into the 80% stuff - I'm slowly making progress on a couple of 1911's and I've seen the 80% P229 recommended : http://www.matrixprecisionparts.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=8&products_id=91 And am very interested - the only bummer is for us guys here in commiefornia we have to build them as a single shot first, then change to semi - for the 1911's I'm looking at this: https://www.l10-machine.com/products/breaktop-single-shot-upper?variant=12084090113 or perhaps I'll ask a friend that was doing the SSE (single shot exemption for non-roster handguns a couple of years ago) if he would sell me one of his old "kits" that include a magazine well block and a barrel sleeve that reduces the caliber and lengthens the barrel to meet the 6 inch minimum requirement - I'll get a thread going on the 1911 builds as I get further along - one is going to be a clone of this:
