Man, that's a...  a...  Damn, that's a BLESSING!   Later in life, you'll be thankful!  <munch>  Just trust me on that one...  :D

Maybe you need a PRS, maxed out on the LOP (length of pull) adjustment.  I'm just sayin'...

I've now got most of a gun on the way - building up a 16" midlength gas AR-15 the the Little Woman's birthday next week (cutting it close!).

Well, updates - got the Bravo Company shipment in today - blazing fast, if you ask me.  Ordered on Friday, received on Monday, and that's with them shipping USPS Priority Mail.  They fuggin' ROCK!

Tuesday is the bulk of the big parts, coming from DSG Arms and the AP stripped upper from Surplus Ammo.  Thursday is the confirmed delivery date of the stainless LPK, and that makes it a complete shooting firearm.  I made it, so far, for her B-Day on the 17th.  All I need now are the ear rings to hide in the pistol grip compartment - when she's pissed that she got a sweet rifle for her B-Day, at least she'll have something else to "open up..."  :o ;D

Be careful my friend, I bought a gun for my wife once and she waited until after she'd loaded it to let me know she didn't like my taste in presents. Needless to say, she got what she REALLY wanted.

On the PRS, I'd love to do it but right now the $30 I can get the extension kit for far outweighs the hundreds that the PRS will cost me. Optimally, I'd be putting a CAA Sniper Stock w/ monopod on it, but right now that's just a dream. I can't help but wonder how the extension kit will affect my recoil spring setup....

Oh, on further review, it appears theres just a spacer that drops into the tube and then the spring sits in front of it. Pics here.

Kinda good either way...it'll save your ass on one side, or be like the cherry on top if it goes well.  Good luck <munch>

Man, I have no fear of that - I'm always wearing a .45, chambered, cocked, safed.  Ready to go.

I'm faster on the draw than her - much faster.  :o ;D

I have to completely thank YOU for that idea, too - I never would have wrapped them both up as "one" before I talked to you...  ;D  I sure as hell hope it works...  <munch>

Just got confirmation that the first chunk is in the mail.  Estimated delivery on the 19th...... :o

LPK, Ejection cover/spring/pin,forward assist, buffer spring, buffer, barrel, gas tube/pin....I think that's it in the first box.

Also on order are some handguard fixin's and a barrel nut wrench.  Not sure how soon it'll be here.    <munch>

Looks like the stock is on hold (the stock is outta stock)...and the price is worth a wait.

Gonna go nuts waiting for the 19th.

Got most of my stuff for the midlength yesterday.  Lower parts kit come in tomorrow, so I'll make it for Saturday.

One big mistake in the plan - got many parts from DSG Arms, and I've bought from them before.  They sent a 20" rifle gas barrel instead of the 16" mid gas barrel.  I called them up and ended up talking to Zack in Sales.  Those guys are fantastic.  They wanted the 20" barrel back and they'd send the 16".  I told them I had to have the gun built by Saturday, and Zack says, "Ah, poop - hold on and I'll be back on the line in a few minutes..."  ;D

They sent the 16" out to me via 2-day air, and put the return shipping label for the 20" inside that box.  I'll get the 16", swap them, then send the 20" back.  Not too many places that will still do things like that anymore.  I'm very, very impressed with how they handled it.

Tomorrow, it'll be finished.  Plenty of time for the Saturday presentation.

Well, I now have two items on order from DPMS, no idea when they will ship...

I ordered this buttstock extension and a "Receiver Claw", have no idea when they will ship. DPMS must be absolutely slammed with orders right now.

Edit: Oh and I just got word that JP is shipping my 2" picatinny for the bottom of my VTAC handguard, I can finally install everything and make use of my sweet LaRue QD bipod adapter. Pics will soon follow!

LoL

My 2" picatinny for the bipod is sitting at the local UPS depot waiting for me to come pick it up. Apparently JP managed to somehow botch my shipping information for the backordered part. Doesn't matter though, my reciever claw is on it's way, and until I get it my VTAC tube won't be going on anyways. I'm kinda undecided about whether or not to install the VTAC before I start doing my comparisons with the match ammo. Any thoughts?
