I cannot imagine giving someone my toolboxes... filled... with specialized shiit...

I couldn't do it. I'd have to club a motherfucker like a baby seal before they could take a Matco #2 screwdriver...

That's cuz that motherfucker cost 50$

Yup, I've got a Snap-On #2 phillips that I've had since 1976! I know exactly how you feel Tom!

My dad has an entire snapon set in a roll away he got for graduation in 1972 it was insanely cheap compared to what they are today

My Dads set dates from 1952 when I was 4. When he died my sisters got to it and pillaged it, started to sell everything piecemeal before I recovered what was left. I hold a grudge about that to this day.

I showed up at his house after he died and they were having a garage sale without telling me. Snap on tool wrenches 50 cents each. Sockets 10 for $1. To say I was pissed is an understatement. They were both professionally unemployed and had changed the locks on the house and were trying to sell every thing off and pocket the cash. Never was close to them after that. Suspected it might happen and so did my Dad. He gave me all his firearms and power tools two weeks before he died for just that reason.

I'm glad you got what you did Sisco! My dad's tools weren't Snap-On but they were his and that is what was important. My stepmother tried the same BS but my grandfather managed to get over there and gather up some of his sockets and wrenches for me. She gave a lot of stuff away to HER relatives! I cherish what few tools of my dad's that I do have and use them still.

  • 2 weeks later...

Went from a pub crawl to a barbeque with a few of the bros to a great time in San Antonio with wife ,daughter and boyfriend. He later that evening asked if he could marry my daughter. Hung out doing the tourist stuff and visiting family and then it was time to go.

Went to Vegas [ Henderson] to visit my old bro from the old neighborhood. He was recouping from successful back surgery . Just found his last home, very nice place. I wanted to be outside and soak in the weather. Corner lot the back yard was like a resort. Went to the Valley of fire , badfikinass. Just catching up. Went for blood work yesterday to get this shoulder done. Waitin on the pain....

One of the bro's got a bunch of the guys together to have a beer and say congrats. Got a room not far from the bar and cab'd it back and forth. Got there at 1515 and left at 2300. Ol' lady said she counted about 50 guys e few of the guys had a ride ahead of them. Good time was held by one and all. To get acknowledgement from my peer's for the work done through the years was humbling. So you got a bunch of deaf and drunk Tinners together and it's like listening to a bunch of loudass barking dogs:lmao:. I am cleared for surgery will know Monday about Tuesday's cut time.
