Daaaaaaamn...  That's about as real as it's gonna get.  That's LMT-made, right there.

I spent alot of time as a 203 gunner, and always wanted my own.  I'll tell a story at camp this fall...

I qualified a few times with the orange paintball of fury, but never deployed one. That would go sweet with the LMT lower. There was a guy on ARF selling 203 handguards with front/rear sights for $75. already mentally taking inventory of things I can sell to buy this lol. So much for cheap builds :(

Seems like something comes up every weekend so no pewpew yet. Hoping this sunday since im heading out of town for work for 2 weeks after that and the rifles are dusty.

You never realize how much broken crap you have in your house until you are trying to get ready for an appraisal.

Took all the firearms and ammo to the neighbors house for the showings. Should close on the new place by the end of the week. We are so stressed , waiting to find a buyer. Last move next time it's feet first.

Picked up an FN gov profile 1:7 20" barrel for the A2 today :) the color mismatch is going to drive me crazy. Going to have to spray the lower with something to gray it up. Either way....progress.

Got me inspired to build a 605 clone on NoDak receivers...

Those are Perfect Quality, right there.:hail:

Their 10/22 receivers kick ass, too.

For $160 each, I was hoping they were good. Just haven't ever heard from anyone who's built on one.

Biggest PITA is going to be sending a brand new Colt barrel off to Retro Arms Works to have it cut down to 15". Next biggest PITA will be silver soldering an A1 FH in place. I'd like to be able to remove the FH in the future, if needed, and silver solder seems to be the least difficult way to accomplish that.

I had a pin and weld flash hider removed and a QD  for a suppressor put back with pin and weld with no issues, beyond the $40 it cost.

My thought with silver solder was that I could do it myself. Solder paste, heat paste, and a torch...

I braze copper pipe at work, what kinda heat you talking idk if wanna heat it up that much, I know welding is hot too but seems like a quick tach and out? Maybe I’m over thinking it

They spec 1100 F, from 26 USC;

"Permanent methods of attachment include full-fusion gas or electric steel-seam welding, high-temperature (1100°F) silver soldering, or blind pinning with the pin head welded over. "

The pin and weld is way easier - Get the hole where you need it (indexed muzzle device), insert pin, touch with welder.  Done.  It's removable.  Just requires a little precision grinding, and a sharp drill bit.  Bam, off.  I pinned a 14.5" barrel with an AAC Brakeout. Decided I wanted that Brakeout on something else, so I removed it, put on the AAC Blackout in it's place, then pinned that thing to the 14.5".

JT is right on the money, it's 1100-degree silver solder.  That's a fuk-ton of heat, even with heat-paste to prevent the heat traveling down the barrel.

You can weld good enough to do this job, with strong sunglasses, three car batteries cabled in series, jumper cables, and a wire coat hanger.   :laffs::thumbup:

Done deal.
