98Z5V Posted April 26, 2018 Report Posted April 26, 2018 Cabot Guns. The Big Bang pistol set. Crafted from a 77lb piece of the Gibeon meteorite. http://cabotgun.com/oak-collection/the-big-bang-pistol-set/#1 $4.5 million, for the set.
Robocop1051 Posted April 26, 2018 Report Posted April 26, 2018 99% of the pistols were cut from the single meteor. The only parts NOT meteor were the springs (and I think the barrels). Supposedly both pistols are capable of firing. Even the sights are meteor! I don't know if it's my inner-nerd or my inner-gunnut... I think they are the most beautiful 1911's I've ever seen. I saw Cabot in LV at the SHOT show, but alas the pistols were not there. They had been prearranged for viewing elsewhere en route to the NRA show.
Robocop1051 Posted April 26, 2018 Report Posted April 26, 2018 PS. The company said they will NOT sell these out of the country. US buyers only.
Boot_Scraper Posted April 26, 2018 Report Posted April 26, 2018 Only $4.5 mill.... hold my beer... gotta grab my pocket book!
Matt.Cross Posted April 26, 2018 Report Posted April 26, 2018 I'd rather have a Singer 1911 in mint condition.
ARTrooper Posted April 26, 2018 Report Posted April 26, 2018 I'd be afraid to shoot such a rare and beautiful piece... and I would never want an expensive gun that I was hesitant to shoot. but if one of you guys get it, I'll shoot it. :P
sketch Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 if i had the money.. id buy the machines that make them..
Sisco Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 Absolutely beautiful! But I agree with Trooper, a gun is made to shoot and be carried. I couldn’t afford the insurance I would need to carry those!

I can appreciate beauty in someone else's gun safe. lol.
Robocop1051 Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 I’d carry those in custom Siberian tiger holsters, and I’d load them with 230gr platinum and ivory cartridges.
