Is it just me, or is that thing bigger than normal.

It is beastly, it looks like I'll be able to shoot this weekend, so I'm going to swap it out for the Young Mfg carrier in Goldilocks(MA TEN) and test it out.

Nice looking piece . Those are made from S/S are they not ?

I ordered the 416SS bolt, which is an upgrade from their standard bolt material, which I cannot recall at the moment. I could tell you if their web store wasn't closed. To answer your question, my bolt carrier IS stainless.

I have a very similar octagonal bolt carrier in my AR-15. On top of attractive appearance, that's a very good and even critically important feature, given the past issues with the AR-15.

It might not be as big a deal for the .308s but a plus is a plus.

Still waiting for the pics of the Young carrier, Matt.  Just a reminder.  You're 50% redeemed at this point - well, maybe 60% for the inclusion of the hands...  But, it's not complete yet.  :o

Only the hands ,have to be clean.

This line creepily reminds me of 'Silence of the Lambs' somehow.

Looks just a good as their AR-15 carriers. Although I'd like to try out the Fail zero coatings, I think the price on those carriers is out of line. I wonder if Young Mfg. will decide to offer a super light .308 carrier?
