outkastsl Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 I'm too scared to have one!!! I'll waste soooo much ammo. lol
imschur Posted April 29, 2012 Author Report Posted April 29, 2012 In stock now. Get them before they are gone. link
jeffreyC Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 I'm conflicted about buying one of these. On the one hand three Magpul PMags will hold more ammo, and cost a lot less. And I'm a frugal sort about most things. On the other hand the very existence of these must offend anti-gun people and that is a good thing.
Madhouse Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 I'm scared of the cost to load it.Right??!?!?
Matt.Cross Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 I'm scared of the cost to load it.Loading it is far cheaper than emptying it... <laughs>
telluwhat Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 Wow. I want to have it "just in case" but can you imagine how much it would weigh full? OMG Then there is the cost. PMAGS change out quickly and are much cheeper. Then again there is the cool factor... bottom line I must wait. I will wait. Oh that is cool. Sure am glad I don't have plastic. Nice. Haha!
jeffreyC Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 3 pounds empty4.9 pounds fullI may need a lighter rifle
unforgiven Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 Gun bearer.. <lmao> Tripod with wheels <laughs> Helium ballons :cookoo:
telluwhat Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 I can't stop thinking about that drum! When I first got my 308 I actually was disappointed I could not find a mag that held more than 20 rounds.... so I got a bunch of them. Will likely get more down the road. Now this comes out. /me does Homer droole
BLKSHEEP Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 I just don't need to be that cool <dontknow>,13 Pmags or 1, 50 round jam master?
survivalshop Posted May 2, 2012 Report Posted May 2, 2012 Ok , who's going to be the taste tester on this one , man up , some one has to take one for the team !
jeffreyC Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 The Big Brown Truck of Happiness came by today.First impressions:Well made (I'm a machinist and picky)One small thing so far, need to hold the mag release in while inserting it, there is no bevel on the left side like a normal mag would have.Balance is not affected. No range report yet.I can see that I need to step up my workouts, but I knew that already.
Madhouse Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 jeffreyC, if you can, I would love to know to weight loaded
telluwhat Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 I am interested in how hard it is to load the last few rounds. How much does it hang down from the rifle compared to a 20 round mag?
jeffreyC Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 I have not weighed it but it feels like they were telling the truth about it weighing 4.9 pounds loaded. Scale needs batteries and I'm not swiping them from my sights <laughs>Sticks down 3/8 of an inch lower than a PMagFrom about 35 rounds on it gets noticeably harder, but still not too bad.
telluwhat Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 Would that fit in a ammo can, either 30mm or 50mm if needed?
