Through the years here, take a look at the dickheads I've butted heads with.  Take a real look at it.  This is going back to 2010, here, literally.

I've finally found a real explanation for this...

If you need to work at it, put work in, just to analyze people, then you're just a dickhead.  If it's just something you're born with, and you can tell right away if someone's just a dickhead - that's a gift...

once somebunny is deemed an asshatt, the analysis stops, and there is no possible redemption.

There's a way to do that, and I've done it, militarily, several times.  There's a way to deliver that exact message, and not get in trouble doing it.  The delivery is key, word choice is paramount, and it all works out.  Just fine. 

Once told a brand new Detachment Commander that he was the worst Commissioned Officer that I'd ever been forced to work with in my life - about one day into his command...  Private meeting, me, that shiitbag, and my Warrant Officer.  My Warrant kicked the fukc out my leg, under the table, when I let that one rip...

Took us about 10 months to get that motherfucker relieved...

I did the same thing but in the orderly room, others were present. I asked this dickhead CO for permission to speak then told him off. He was just punching his command ticket from what I observed over time and he was just horrible. When he told me to shut up I did. I didn't care; I was getting out. Too many like that in a unit that could be delivered anywhere on the planet in 24 hours.

So I'll admit here that I've never heard of Sigma. I've only ever heard of Alpha and Beta, and this concept makes so much sense.  Super interesting Tom, thanks very much for posting this.  I always enjoy learning, and this was a real eye-opener for me.

Pretty freaky, isn't it Todd?  I didn't know about this until this summer, when I had to do a deep dive into myself, to figure ME out.  It hit me right away, and explains alot about my actions and reaction, my entire life, from teen to now...  

Wasn't easy to figure out, and wasn't fun to figure out, either.  Painful process...  

It explains alot, though, and makes the future easier for me...

Same here, very eye-opening.  Back to when I was 13 and would pick a fight with anyone who I thought would fight back, never cared whether I won or lost, never afraid to get hit, I just wanted to fight all the time.  And still now, how I have my fun little mental exercise where I determine how I would go about physically tearing down everyone I come across.
