BLKSHEEP Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 REMINGTON MSR, caliber choices are 7.62, 300win, 338 Lupa http://www.remingtonmilitary.com/Firearms/Sniper%20Rifles/MSR.aspx
MONTANA308 Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 Yes I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating pills.
mineralman55 Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 I don't usually go the confrontatory route, but that is one of the ugliest rifles I've ever seen! Definately a "two-bagger". <laughs>
Rsquared Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. <laughs>
StainTrain Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 Once you handle one of these, you will understand why it costs so dang much. It is a work of art.
imschur Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 The MSR has been my inspiration for wanting to build something with one of these.
Microgunner Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 Looks heavy. I don't like heavy firearms in my old age.But it does look "technical".
jrtMA Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 I like it but I like most things that fire bullets, rockets, etc... Looks like you need an engineering degree to work it. Also, let Michael Bay know one of his transformers escaped.

jrtMA Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 It's just a bolt action wearing a free floating tuxedo. Ha...I know but good comment. I actually looked at a similar stock for a Remington 700 before and it was big bucks. That one looks a lot more high speed though.
StainTrain Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 (edited) It is high speed for sure. I really like the AX AIC stock as well, but as you said, BIG BUCKS... I know that if you buy a complete rifle from Surgeon, they will upgrade you to the AX at a pseudo reasonable price. Bolt actions have gotten a lot more urban environment friendly lately as many departments transition to the semi auto platform. I love a bolt action but it is hard to argue with usefulness and flexibility of a SASS. Edited March 19, 2013 by StainTrain
jrtMA Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 The AICS was the one I was referring to earlier. I priced one out and I started getting into the extra bells and whistles and the price tag went through the roof. I pulled the plug on that idea. Maybe someday when my gun "to buy list" gets smaller I'll revisit buying it. Unfortunately, that list grows more quickly than it shrinks.
DNP Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Don't like too many of the stocks, but if I spend the money it's probably going to be on a j Allen enterprise.
