planeflyer21 Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 http://www.triangletactical.net/2013/08/21/xds-9mm-failure-to-feed/ I've not heard of this issue with the .45 version.
blue109 Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 The pocket gun market seems to be having some issues
shepp Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 The very first time I shot my xds .45 I had the issue he described let the slide go and jammed 3/8 open. But I haven't had an issue since, figure it was an operator error
98Z5V Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 Haven't had this issue with the XDs-45 so far. I will say - if you limp-wrist it, it won't fully cycle 100% of the time. However, if you hold it like a man, it runs like a champ. I'm definitely not saying that is the issue reported with the XDs-9, here. That looks like an ammo issue more than anything else.
Zebra644 Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 I ended up having some serious light primer strikes with mine. I hated to love that gun, but it was not 100% reliable and I sold it for what I paid for it. I bought a Sig Ultra Compact to replace it. If that XDS would have been reliable it was the perfect little carry pistol accurate and the recoil wasn't that bad.
Magwa Posted August 24, 2013 Report Posted August 24, 2013 I have my radar fixed on a 45 version I am hoping this is not common , my wife looked at the xds 9mm and the sig P938 she walked out with the sig and loves it....
Rsquared Posted August 25, 2013 Report Posted August 25, 2013 Well, c'mon. Who doesn't love a Sig? In almost any flavor or caliber?
unforgiven Posted August 25, 2013 Report Posted August 25, 2013 Sig = good stuff.Wouldn't mine havin another.
planeflyer21 Posted August 26, 2013 Author Report Posted August 26, 2013 At least the .45s seem to be a nonissue. Especially since many places now have the 7-round magazines in stock! You can get them many places...all over really. You can never have too many extra magazines for your carry pistol. Right, Tom? >:D
98Z5V Posted August 26, 2013 Report Posted August 26, 2013 True dat! I need to pick up some more 7-rounders. Only have two right now.
shepp Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 I've got 4, keep on stashed in the house along with 3 for my xd40 one in my truck and two for carry
sketch Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 No problems here with the .45 xds I guessing 500 rnds or more
