Microgunner Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 I've been using Corrosion-X and Rig Universal Gun Grease for years. Never found a reason to change.
98Z5V Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 Very nice execution of the 1911. Fantastic acquisition, man. <thumbsup>

planeflyer21 Posted May 31, 2014 Report Posted May 31, 2014 Congrats!!! Makes me want to run out an buy a P220 Scorpion TB....have to fight the urge.... Do NOT go into Sportsman's then! You definately do NOT want the convenience of them having BOTH the P220 and 1911-22 in stock. Together.
gnatshooter Posted May 31, 2014 Report Posted May 31, 2014 Here's an update I finally got my free 1911-22 Is that the stock hammer on that 1911-22? If so, they've changed things...
Cali_Ed Posted June 1, 2014 Author Report Posted June 1, 2014 I need some advice guys, 22lr is tough to find around these parts. Should I sell this new gun and put the money towards my 308's glass or just keep it?
shibiwan Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 I would flip the 22 for some extra cash to sink into other projects - that's because 22 just doesn't do it for me.
Cali_Ed Posted June 1, 2014 Author Report Posted June 1, 2014 Yea I agree, maybe put it into a scope or another barrel and parts for my 556
Cali_Ed Posted June 1, 2014 Author Report Posted June 1, 2014 (edited) Checked how much they cost at some local shops going rate is about 380-400. I have it up on calguns for 360. Edited June 1, 2014 by Cali_Ed
Microgunner Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 They cost me $333 new so that'll be outta my range. Thanks.
shibiwan Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 It's a "Sig" - it should hold its value well. (FYI, the Sig 1911-22 is actually made by GSG)
gnatshooter Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 the Sig 1911-22 is actually made by GSG) Gotta wonder if this solves a mystery. There's a GSG that sells amazing quantities of miscellaneous gun parts on Amazon.com.
shibiwan Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) Not sure about that GSG on amazom. I'm referring to German Sport Guns, a German company which manufactures a variety of 22LR guns. Edited June 2, 2014 by shibiwan
DNP Posted June 2, 2014 Report Posted June 2, 2014 Local shop here just bought a half million rounds of .22. They have no limit on the amount you can leave with. 500 round bricks. However....like $75 a brick....but it's in stock.
