  1. I completely understand the need for funds to upgrade. I was just giving you a little crap. I like the bells and whistles you have coming for your new project.
  2. Welcome from Texas. The only problem I see so far is that you sold your AR10. That's like selling your first kid because you think the next one will be better. These guns like company. You shouldn't make them lonely.
  3. Then there is this: California Law Allows Jail For Using Wrong Gender Pronoun Violations can be punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 or "by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not to exceed one year." It looks like it is specific to health care workers who repeatedly and willfully misuse the preferred pronoun.
  4. Looks like it says Vortex.
  5. Here are the rare side effects of Valium. They may not happen often, but if it is on the list, it has happened before. It is NOT an SSRI but it can and does mess with the brain. The emphasis is from the poster on my optometrist forum. https://www.drugs.com/sfx/valium-side-effects.html Incidence not known Abdominal or stomach pain agitation black, tarry stools blistering, flaking, or peeling of the skin blurred vision changes in patterns and rhythms of speech chills confusion cough dark urine decrease in the frequency of urination decrease in urine volume difficulty in passing urine (dribbling) discouragement dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position false beliefs that cannot be changed by facts fast heartbeat fast or irregular breathing feeling sad or empty feeling that others are watching you or controlling your behavior feeling that others can hear your thoughts feeling, seeing, or hearing things that are not there fever headache hyperexcitability increased muscle spasms or tone irritability itching or rash lack of memory of what takes place after a certain event loss of appetite loss of bladder control loss of interest or pleasure lower back or side pain nausea nightmares outbursts of anger painful or difficult urination pale skin restlessness seizures slurred speech sore throat sweating trouble concentrating trouble sleeping trouble speaking ulcers, sores, or white spots in the mouth unpleasant breath odor unusual behavior unusual bleeding or bruising unusual feeling of excitement unusual tiredness or weakness vomiting of blood yellow eyes or skin
  6. I almost posted this picture, but didn't want to come across like more of a smart a$$ than I intended.
  7. Exactly! When the people really running the show are not the ones you see or elect, it makes it difficult to get rid of them. You can't unelect them. You can only possibly fire them if you get to be in charge. You can't get elected unless they allow you to.
  8. I got the same email. While I agree with what he says, I find it difficult to trust the large national organizations that "represent the little guy." Whether it's the NRA, the optometry association, a national political party, or some other group, they get large and connected to the swamp of government and forget about the grass roots. The new leaders are mostly chosen amongst people who will continue the status quo. It is great to say take back the organization or hold the leaders responsible. In the realities I have witnessed, things rarely get changed because the figurehead that runs on a platform of change does not get to make the decisions. They only get the blame.
  9. I will get some of different brands.
  10. I think there is one. This was my first upper to put together so it may be elsewhere in the build as well. The gas tube seems to go in the upper receiver with little resistance.
  11. Set screw, non-adjustable. I'm pretty sure something is out of alignment. It did not function well initially, FTE with bolt only moving 1/4 of the way backward. I repositioned the gas block on the barrel and it functioned well for several rounds.
  12. I tested it today with mixed results. It has a gas issue. I believe the gas block is moving after a few rounds. I got it to fire 5 or 6 in a row and then it would not pick up the next round. It would load when manually pulling the charging handle. It would fire fine and eject the empty (I didn't look where) and not pick any more rounds. I had limited time and few tools so I will look into it more after I get home.
  13. I was hoping I didn't need to bring a cricket bat.
  14. I appreciate it when I have a bad steak. My response to a waiter asking if I need steak sauce is "I hope not."
  15. Here it is with the optic mounted and the sling (that still needs to be attached). I'm taking it out tomorrow for testing. I let a friend look it over and test fire it. He said it did well the first few rounds then would not cycle the bolt at all. It did not have much lube on it, so that may contribute some. But I think the gas block might have moved.
  16. I don't use Facebook, but I made an exception and went there to watch this video. If you want to make your gun shoot 70000 rounds per minute, then this is the video for you. He's pretty damn funny.
  17. Glad you are ok with no damage.
  18. Welcome from Texas and thank you for your service.
  19. Welcome from Texas and thank you again for your service.
  20. Welcome from Texas.
  21. I can respect that. I would do the same. I came across this article and thought of him. http://www.kansascity.com/news/local/article177047656.html
  22. I have not seen the articles but could that have been the person who was telling the crowd they were going to die. Edit: The article was from infowars. It showed a picture of a receipt for room service for two. It was posted on the Facebook page of someone who said they worked at Mandalay Bay.
  23. There is a contingent of ISIS there, likely spreading from Indonesia. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/01/world/asia/marawi-philippines-isis-civilians.html
