  1. This is not my video but I have done this on many occasions. Wear safety glasses because this hurts you more than me. Still not as bad as a shot in the eye, right wash?
  2. Welcome from Texas and thank you for your service!
  3. Welcome from Texas
  4. I have not had the chance to watch it yet, but here is his latest video in the series.
  5. For anyone willing to gamble that there is not a problem with all of their triggers, you can get one with the anti-rotation pins for $85 here. Use code Trigger15 for 15% off and free shipping.
  6. You are correct that Gen2 PSA 308 are much better than the earlier version. There is a PSA section to the forum that has some very thorough reviews on them. Proprietary parts are an issue with them, as it is all across the 308 spectrum.
  7. Welcome from Texas.
  8. Yumm! Looks delicious.
  9. I must be an old fart now. I turned 50 this year. Hope you had a good birthday Shepp
  10. Welcome from Texas. I would start a separate thread for your build to ask for and get specific answers. A list of parts used is a great way to start.
  11. I have seen your videos in this series. I like the fact that you use your real experience to determine what is needed. I don't want someone who watched Rambo when he was a kid saying what is or isn't necessary in these situations.
  12. No need for a season on vermin.
  13. I'm not sure about Mr. Hunt but this same story was attributed to Jerry Jones, by our governor no less, but looks like it was false.
  14. Welcome from Texas.
  15. Good news!
  16. That looks exactly like what I want. Thanks! Now I just have to add some ammo to see if I can get free shipping.
  17. I saw those when I looked at Brownells. I was looking to avoid having more milspec trigger parts laying around. I have one milspec trigger in an AR and it will soon be replaced with a Larue. I've heard how a spare roll pin can lead you to building another gun.
  18. My wife got stomach virus over the weekend so I didn't get to do as much as I hoped. I did get the lower put together with the heavy spring on the Larue trigger. The bolt catch spring went somewhere when I was trying to put it in and had to go to gun show on Sunday to get a replacement. Any place to get a supply of replacement pins and springs (preferably without trigger parts)? I glanced at Midway and Brownells but didn't find what I had envisioned. I have seen what I think I want at other gun shows and may go there in the next week or two.
  19. Glad you made it through unscathed.
  20. Welcome to the forum from Texas. One suggestion is a Larue trigger. Regular price is $125, but they go on sale for $99 around some holidays.
  21. Welcome from Texas.
  22. 4 D&H 7.62X39 mags that are due on Saturday.
  23. Nice looking rifle! Hope it shoots as well as it looks.
  24. But, first things first, I'll try to start on this tonight. It may be the weekend before I can devote much time to it though.
