  1. Welcome from Texas. You might ask your question in the PSA part of the forum to separate it from an introduction.
  2. You have probably been here, but I will post it just in case. As you mention, it doesn't mention gas or bolt gun. https://www.hodgdon.com/cfe-223/
  3. I'd be in for a raffle if I didn't just stay at the most expensive hotel in Dallas for 2 nights with my wife. Baylor Dallas is expensive and they kept bothering you all night.
  4. It's not a big deal if it is in this thread, but you might start a new thread in the member's build area. That way your questions won't get overlooked in an introduction thread.
  5. I may have to borrow that for my rep. He's normally on the right side of gun legislation, but it never hurts to remind him. His district does go up into DFW. There be weird thinking people up there.
  6. Welcome from Texas. Where in the state are you?
  7. That bird needs a stage appearance. It's better than most singers out nowadays.
  8. Cool pictures JT! I will have to get up that way some time.
  9. Drowning pool actually had him on stage at a concert.
  10. Still got your KISS on 8 track?
  11. With stealth mode capabilities.
  12. I was lucky I didn't bring enough money to the gun show where I first saw these. I would probably have one right now and still not have everything I wanted for my X39.
  13. My dad and 2 brothers have Ruger commander 1911s. They all like them and shoot well.
  14. Speaking of 10mm 1911s. These run about $750. http://www.ruger.com/products/sr1911/specSheets/6739.html
  15. Here is the place to start.
  16. I completely understand the need for funds to upgrade. I was just giving you a little crap. I like the bells and whistles you have coming for your new project.
  17. Welcome from Texas. The only problem I see so far is that you sold your AR10. That's like selling your first kid because you think the next one will be better. These guns like company. You shouldn't make them lonely.
  18. Then there is this: California Law Allows Jail For Using Wrong Gender Pronoun Violations can be punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 or "by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not to exceed one year." It looks like it is specific to health care workers who repeatedly and willfully misuse the preferred pronoun.
  19. Looks like it says Vortex.
  20. Here are the rare side effects of Valium. They may not happen often, but if it is on the list, it has happened before. It is NOT an SSRI but it can and does mess with the brain. The emphasis is from the poster on my optometrist forum. https://www.drugs.com/sfx/valium-side-effects.html Incidence not known Abdominal or stomach pain agitation black, tarry stools blistering, flaking, or peeling of the skin blurred vision changes in patterns and rhythms of speech chills confusion cough dark urine decrease in the frequency of urination decrease in urine volume difficulty in passing urine (dribbling) discouragement dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position false beliefs that cannot be changed by facts fast heartbeat fast or irregular breathing feeling sad or empty feeling that others are watching you or controlling your behavior feeling that others can hear your thoughts feeling, seeing, or hearing things that are not there fever headache hyperexcitability increased muscle spasms or tone irritability itching or rash lack of memory of what takes place after a certain event loss of appetite loss of bladder control loss of interest or pleasure lower back or side pain nausea nightmares outbursts of anger painful or difficult urination pale skin restlessness seizures slurred speech sore throat sweating trouble concentrating trouble sleeping trouble speaking ulcers, sores, or white spots in the mouth unpleasant breath odor unusual behavior unusual bleeding or bruising unusual feeling of excitement unusual tiredness or weakness vomiting of blood yellow eyes or skin
  21. I almost posted this picture, but didn't want to come across like more of a smart a$$ than I intended.
  22. Exactly! When the people really running the show are not the ones you see or elect, it makes it difficult to get rid of them. You can't unelect them. You can only possibly fire them if you get to be in charge. You can't get elected unless they allow you to.
  23. I got the same email. While I agree with what he says, I find it difficult to trust the large national organizations that "represent the little guy." Whether it's the NRA, the optometry association, a national political party, or some other group, they get large and connected to the swamp of government and forget about the grass roots. The new leaders are mostly chosen amongst people who will continue the status quo. It is great to say take back the organization or hold the leaders responsible. In the realities I have witnessed, things rarely get changed because the figurehead that runs on a platform of change does not get to make the decisions. They only get the blame.
