  1. My grandfather had a dairy farm for 40 years. I would spend a month or more during the summer when I was a kid to help haul hay (and a lot of playing in the country). This would have been late 70's and early 80's. When we needed milk for cereal, we just got it out of the tank. I drank that for years until me and lactose had a disagreement. When my older brothers went out there, he would also kill and butcher his own beef.
  2. Welcome from Texas.
  3. That's great news!
  4. Ill add a few more.
  5. That thing would ruin a bunch of hogs in a hurry.
  6. Cash or the Visa card would be equally easy to spend on most things. Cash is better for incidentals though. And it is easier to divide between family members.
  7. Wow, That's nice!!
  8. I'll see if I can figure it out when it gets here. But I'm as white as can be, so don't hold out much hope.
  9. Thanks, this will be my favorite blade by far.
  10. One well-placed .22 Is better than a full mag of any caliber if they all miss the target. That said, I would rather take my chances with a .45.
  11. PM sent, money sent.
  12. Mardi Gras will be over Tuesday night, so no huge crowds. But that doesn't mean people won't overdrink.
  13. Welcome from Texas
  14. Another bump with a reminder of what the proceeds go to.
  15. I would bid on this, but I have several of these already. I can say that I paid more for mine than the current bid. And remember that the proceeds go to a great cause.
  16. I'll bump this up so the weekend people have a chance to see it.

  18. ^^^^Already forwarded
  19. That's a good looking truck.
  20. Can you put a link to this thread in the original post so people can see what the auction benefits?
  21. Just a thought. If the auction part of this thread were put in its own thread with a link to the original one, it may get a little more notice.
  22. She is. Just like John Kerry who badmouthed soldiers after he got home and then tried to play up his service when was politically advantageous. I feel a special kindness towards Vietnam vets even though I had no family involved in the war. Most went over with a true sense of patriotic duty only to get sh!t on when they came home. They likely grew up with stories from parents, uncles and others about the pride associated with defeating Hitler and expected similar treatment. I do what I can when I can for these people.
  23. I will gladly wait through the weekend for higher bids. Or until Magwa decides the auction is over.
