I have a standard FNP45. It is my every day carry gun. I only wish I had spent the extra money at the time for the tactical version. ThE double action trigger is a little stiff, but I don't have any other issues with mine. It shoots everything I put in it except a few reloads that I didn't crimp properly. New ones without the RMR run a little over $1000 down here.

Welcome from Texas. Another option is RRA LAR8. It is more proprietary and therefore, less modifiable. But they do make a great rifle.
