  1. I have heard that one many times and I believe it. I vote 700. Wish I had gone that route. I bought a US PALM assembled FN SPR in a McMillan stock for $650. Tossed a brake and a scope on her and have about 1600 in her now. Have to send it off for bottom metal and would love to do something with the trigger...but options are limited for both with the FN. The 700 would have a whole book of options. Hell, I think Roger from BAD can set you up with a sweet bottom metal for it at a great price.
  2. There. Now you can celebrate! And I would guess the OT from a 51 hour weekend should more than cover a $700 bipod, no?
  3. Thankfully I gave up church...I don't have to worry about coveting Vera. So jealous, that is a damn fine toy.
  4. Right on. Yeah, we gave her the one round test. The steel cases would not lock back. My brass would when the gun was well lubed. Hell, she made it through a couple 10 round mags and even locked back at the end of them, but that was only right after applying more lube. The steel...sometimes wouldn't even extract. And every time would not pick up the next round. I will have to get him to check the gas port. GB is pinned, so that will make it more fun. I will start a new thread next time we take it out.
  5. Crazy. You. Yeah, I said it. :)
  6. Hope this ain't a repeat. Oh well if so, enjoy again.
  7. Very sweet man. Looks like a killer set up so far!
  8. Welcome from a little further south! Good luck on the hunt.
  9. Yeah, this one is rifle gas. We will shake out the issue with it.
  10. I just noticed, the gun was built to blend into the tile table...
  11. I'm sure she's at an acceptable level post childbirth. BTW, it's kinda rude to ask something like that...it's what's inside that counts... And from the looks of things, Robo's planning on it being him. Lol. Nice...I mean NICE rifle man! She's a lucky girl.
  12. Damn...the postal workers are going to act as federal police when things shake up?
  13. Got my DIP scope rail for my boy's Savage Rascal. Hoping by next year he can shoot this thing!
  14. You really gotta quit posting in these threads. I get all excited thinking maybe......
  15. Garbage. Complete garbage. Ship it to me and I will get rid of that for you. And just cuz I want to help, I will even pay for half of the shipping charge, deal?
  16. I disagree. Keep it simple. 9mm, .45, .223, .308, and of course....338LM
  17. Have you seen my stapler?
  18. I'm going to say it. I don't want one. There. Though mainly I don't want one because I can't own one the way it should be...short and suppressed. F^%*¥&€ california

Haha. His count threw off his own center. Lol.
  22. Took my buddy's out for the first time today. Wanted to give it a good shakedown. I built this for him as payment for a cage he built on my Yamaha Rhino. Long story short...she don't like tulammo at ALL. Couldn't pick up a second round at all. Occasional failure to eject even. Running xm855 she did a lot better. Had her actually making it all the way through 10 round mags up until the end. Last mag of the day she would eat a couple and then hang up with a live one half jammed into the chamber. Probably put 150 through her. Got rid of the steel stuff. Going to clean her up and take her out again. Delton 16" dissy barrel, standard car buffer/spring. With the 855 she would lock back on empty 85% of the time. She might just need a little more breaking in, but any thoughts on things to try for the next trip?
  23. Makes me wonder if it was a somewhat common issue for them and this is the fix...or if they are just striving to put out the best stuff to keep up their great reputation?
  24. So next time I come out we can paint a little? Sweet!

    Need some tips

Your targets look great. Don't change a thing. One hole groups don't bleed as much as a spread out group. The faster they lose "oil pressure" the faster they stop moving. At least that's what the instructor used to tell me...
