  1. You want a humbling shotgun experience…find somewhere to shoot sporting clays. It’s a lot of fun. I forget how many stations there were on the one by us. Something like 18. At each station you load 2 or 3 rounds. They launch all different types of birds (clays) some go straight up, they have rabbits that bounce along the ground. Sometimes they launch a rabbit and a bird at the same time. I think there was a possible 55 points. I think I got 10. Wobble is fun for trap. Had a buddy that would shoot with us and use his 500 with a pistol grip stock…he was competitive. I have never been very good, but I have fun and that’s all I care.
  2. Good tip. Thanks for sharing that.
  3. He has been missing since around Jan 7. I’m just sayin.
  4. Wouldn’t stop him.
  5. When…if…parts become readily available and back in a good price range, it’s worth it to buy some pieces and put them aside. Someday they’ll turn into another build. Or be trading material for the build you have going the next time things disappear off the shelf.
  6. I hope the phrase continues to carry his story. It just works for so many things.
  7. Tell me more about the 200+ projectiles. What’s their length?
  8. I didn’t re-read the whole thread. What mags and how many rounds through it?
  9. You have the beast back?? The ex, or the rifle? Hoping it’s the latter. Welcome from San Diego.
  10. …just stuff a thumb in it. no…don’t do that. I imagine that wouldn’t end well.
  11. She’s looking a little “after 11PM” from what I see.
  12. Trying to insert the popcorn guy. I can’t answer because I don’t shoot matches, but I’m curious to see if my theory would wind up in the mix.
  13. My dad had been fighting the same thing recently. He’s found he can get the scope adjusted well enough to do without the glasses. He can get it much better with the glasses on, but you won’t get it to work with both. I can’t look through that scope at all when he has it adjusted for him.
  14. We just put an Element Helix on my dad’s air rifle. Under $500, 6-24x50, FFP, great reticle…worth a look. I will be getting one or two for other rifles. Edit to add - I mention this one because it seems to be a competitor to Hawke in the air gun world. A lot of people seem pretty pleased with them and I would bet it will be a fine scope.
  15. It even has a purple laser on it. What chick could resist that?

    I’m from California. I’d apologize, but that’s Canada’s job.

So what are the compromises to being both auto and pump? Benefits? Just curious - I’ve never considered that before. Good looking gun. Get lots of rounds through it and tell us how she does.

Won’t be long before we get a couple of “goes both ways” jokes from @Lonewolf McQuade
  19. You have a point. I retract my judgmental inquiry.
  20. Little early for a beer..,ain’t it?
  21. So…you’re saying you got lucky?^^^…or that the load must be a good one in your rifle. That was some nice shootin for “not being very good”.
  22. Dispute it with the CC if you don’t get an answer soon.
