I like the looks of the IMI Defense Mags , going to have to look into them , too bad he is still using this junk Lancers . I only have two sets of BUIS & they are on rifles that have no scope on them & only temporarily , because of testing . I find I have my scopes so far back , that a rear BUIS will not fit .

Interesting , I've been looking at one of Vortex scopes . I have their one of their Red dot Strikefire's . 40% is OK, as long as you can't find it cheaper soemwhere else .

Ya , use the first Gen. LR PMags with what the one guy called ' with junky followers" or Lancer L7's & there is not an issue . Junky followers , really , I have a bunch of those LR PMags with those Junky Follows, new in the wrapper , if one of you G2 owners want to trade for new Gen. three's

You can have them , I will not need them , I've had them for a couple of years & as I said , I have no where to really use a 300WM , that cartridge needs some air for it to travel . The 308 has all I need or can use down here . Just PM me your address & after the Hurricane finishes with us , I will send them . I have some once fired brass I send with them , I think PIP , I'll have to look .

Got the new Seating Stem & its a big difference . Stem comparison 110 gr. Max seating at max COL of 2.000" , Die adj. per instructions , actually the Locking collar is at the end of threads of the Die Body . Same with new Seating Stem Nice , no more loosening , I actually found the old Stem loose again & only after re-Seating the Ten rounds that were over Max COL>

I think a redesign of the Bolt Catch would be easy ,it has a stop built into it , so it would negate any over travel , with other Mag brands .

This is an interesting article , I have some odd size Bullets ( .3075" ) that are custom solid Copper Bullets that I don't use a Expander plug on some Brass makes with a Std. Sizer Die , but I have a Redding Bushing Sizer Die to use different Bushings for these Bullets with Commercial Brass . MilSpec Brass ( LC ) is OK with a Std . Sizer Die with these Bullets with an Expander in the Die

My question is , what did you buy for the wife ? Shoes , apparel ?

I was shooting with a friend last week & he was shooting that stuff & I got the Brass , doesn't look bad , at all . Going to weigh it & prep it for loading & see how it does .

I like the idea that was brought up about two different Uppers , one for Hunting & one for long range , including Glass . I watched half of that video , thinking I was going to learn something , but its nothing new that , a lighter , faster shooting Bullet is going to shoot , flatter then a larger heavier Bullet .

What , you own guns !

I've been looking at the Ruger American in 300WM , I 'm having a hard time talking myself into it ,because I have no place to air the cartridge out , nor do I really have a need for one . Where you live & shoot , at least you have the distance to use that caliber . I even have a new set of never used RCBS Die set for the 300 Win Mag. Do you need them ?

He's probably still in shock ! But he didn't lay down & die , like a lot of people would , gotta hand it to him .

I'm going to say if you intend on Hunting & some long range shooting , the choice is a difficult one . What you need to do is think of which endeavor are you basically wanting the rifle for . Its some times difficult to make or buy a rifle for mutable purposes & have it shine in all of them . Sure you can have a Hunting rifle that will do decently in long range or a Target rifle do extremely well at targets at long range , but be kind of bulky for hunting , but still work in the field . The Caliber , really , would come down to which endeavor you really want to excel in , Target or Hunting . I have no experience in the 6.5, so I can not say what it will do hunting , but from what I have read , its a good target caliber . I know the 308 is a good hunting cartridge , because of experience with it & it also does pretty well at moderate long range . One other thing you may consider is , availability of Ammunition when in the field , we all know of the possibilities of forgetting or running out of ammo , when hunting . We all say it won't happen , because we only need one round of it , but what if your ammo gets lost or damaged .

I didn't see Repeater mentioned in the original post . M16 = select fire !

That 17 + is with an extended mag , I believe, they come standard with the same capacity as a SA. But in Robo's situation , if I could carry 50+ rounds , I would . That bike would need Bags & a windshield , but the mini guns would be great for riot control
