  1. Didn't the BATF stop or cause a stink with one of the major ammunition makers for making a solid Brass Bullet ? Interesting . I watched one of the videos for the 45ACP & thought it was an odd one , the 1911 failed to fully chamber both the std Ball & their round , at least it looked that way & the shooter was kinda odd also .
  2. Don't get me wrong , I lap all of mine , but only the last item, of the above , those other items may be a added benefit , I lap to make sure I have a good flush Flange seating surface . 82Halo Have you cycled a Dummy round through this rifle & had issues or have you test fired it ?
  3. What Caliber ?
  4. Ya , right !?
  5. Has anyone tested to see if there is any difference between a lapped & non-lapped Receiver ? As far as how the Rifle shoots or operates . If there is an issue with this rifle as far as the Barrel Extension ( doubtful ) a lapping tool would not help .
  6. GII type Receiver , interesting ,
  7. I just couldn't wait to conceal it every day.?
  8. That in itself means nothing if the Flange is seated . Have you fully assembled this firearm & there was a problem or is this your observations , just test fitting the Upper ? The Fortis hand guard gap is a separate issue . You may have to fully assemble & torque the barrel nut , to see if the gap reduces or is eliminated . Someone here I'm sure has used this Hand guard & will know . Some hand guards do not seat fully against the Upper Receiver & some like the older JP hand Guards , say not to seat them against the Upper Receiver . The photo's I see on various rifles , show a slight gap between the Hand Guard & Upper Receiver .
  9. Man, that's real nice , just can't get over what they want for a Revolver these days .?
  10. Yup . Weigh it also & the Powder Charge & weigh empty the case & take some measurements also (With or with out the Primer ) , I think that should do it , for those with a need to know .?
  11. The important thing is , is the Barrel Extension seating Flange , fully seated against the Face of the Barrel Nut Threads on the Receiver ? The Upper Receiver may not be a M4 type as you may be used to , there will be a transition area . You need to check the Extension Flange & make sure its seated. If it is , assemble , Check Head Space & do a Function test with a Dummy round . Photo's, as said , would help
  12. Google is your friend http://www.midwayusa.com/product/761080/john-masen-cheek-rest-ar-15-a2-stock-synthetic-black http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&page=1&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3ARifle Cheek Rest
  13. Need more info on what is too long . Barrel Extension , Receiver Extension ?
  14. With the Panthers having a 31 point lead in the first half , seemed the Panthers coasted the second half . Just saying .?
  15. With the 338 Lapua Magnum ( or any of the Magnums that can be used with it ) , that makes a new frame model , a Magnum Large Frame AR . Colt bought the rights to the AR 15/M16 from Amalite & produced them for Civilian & Military contracts. Armalite AR 10 Rifles are not clones , the present company bought & own the rights to the original drawings for the rifle & like Colt , made some refinements to the base rifle . The DPMS & AR 10 are different rifles , they both have similarities , but different rifles , Just look at the Receivers. Not to mention ,Forged AR 10's & Billet DPMS , Lower Receivers.
  16. I don't care for NC Quarterback & hope he gets face smashed into turf , but I don't think the Hawks are up to the task to beat them . Some damn good games yesterday though ! No matter who won or lost .
  17. You get what you pay for . If you want a good Aluminum Block , you will pay much more for it . The JP is made of Aluminum , but not for $ 10.?
  18. Large frame AR's , 7mm08 AR , 243 AR , 308 AR or what ever caliber .
  19. That was good !
  20. I like the Steel clamp on's myself , but have Aluminum ones that seem to work fine also . That JP adj. with the four screws looks massive , not a bad thing in some ways .I use so many different ones , its hard to say which I like the best , but one made of steel would be my first choice . I really don't care for Adj. ones ,but I can see a use for them in some circumstances .
  21. This is all about getting some boost of publicity , he has to stay in the news to make it look like he is still popular enough to put in a worthless movie . Where is probably using those " Cowardly Killing Machines " to make him look cool , acting out a fictional character . What a Dumb A$$ ! I hope they give him a new Neck Tie .
  22. Nice set up .
  23. Funny how those cans don't explode all over the place , Ahh Hollywood . POS Commie Penn could disappear , I wouldn't miss him .
  24. I have used & shot so many Rem. 700 rifles & its sub types & never have I had or heard anyone talk about or say theirs went off with out pulling the Trigger. Notice in this article that out of 7 Million rifles sold, only a little over 2,000 have filed claims , strange . http://finance.yahoo.com/news/delay-remington-gun-settlement-221602951.html
