  1. Nice , is that a Hammer extension already on it for a scope ?
  2. I'm going to say this & its been on my mind for years , The NFL is Fixed ! That call for defensive holding against Dallas , shows how the Fix is in, it was a good call that was announced & then they picked up the flag ! WTF . IMO it changed the outcome of the game , to the way the NFL or who ever is running it , wanted . :fawkdance: I'm not a fan of ether team , but that foul reversal was just BS & the NFL is picking what Teams go into the play off's , probably has something to do with ratings & $$$$$$
  3. I made a comment in your thread & it was about a compressed powder charge . If you are using a Bullet with a cannelure for crimping , normally you would seat the bullet to the cannelure for crimping & it could be 2.450" , not sure what bullet you have . Compressed load can some times push the bullet back out & may take multiple presses to seat . Maintaining proper bullet tension with the Cartridge case neck will help . Different brand brass cases may have different responses to re-sizing & may not give uniform case neck pressure , its why Annealing the case neck helps with brass that has been fired & re-sized multiple times . I have reloaded a Barnes Bullet , their 168 gr. TacX bullet is longer than a std Match 168 gr. bullets of other & even there 168 gr. TSX bullets & I had trouble seating them with IMR 4064 ( compressed charge ) , they would do the same thing . I had to seat them multiple times & they would also get stuck in the seater stem , after contacting Barnes , I had to polish the inside of the seating stem to keep them from sticking to it . I use a Ball Powder & with its lower volume , had no problems with these special bullets .
  4. Did you have a compressed load of Powder ? Compressed Powder loads can make some Bullets hard to seat & may take multiple seating presses. What powder are you loading & what charge ? What Hornady Bullet ?
  5. The more I use these , the more I like them .
  6. I bought some 325 gr. Hornady Levolution ammo today , so now I can do a base Chronograph tests with the 45-70 with factory Remington 300 gr. & the Hornady ammo . Mounted the scope yesterday & may take her out for some testing tomorrow
  7. Well , its not official yet , so don't get your hopes up . <laughs>
  8. My , that's a tight one . <laughs> Get another ejection port cover or swap one from another rifle to see if its the same on both rifles . I have a couple that are tight , but not like that . You could wear out the upper receiver with it like that . See what Areo has to say about it , call or Email them ..
  9. Shoot them , they will be fine. Those COL's will be effected by the hollow point cone & even Match bullets will not be uniform at the tip ( thats what that tool above is for ) When I set my seating die up , I rarely get 0.002" difference . You won't see a difference in Velocity with those COL's.. Now ,if you seat the bullets where they are just off the Lands of the rifling , you might see some funny Velocity readings, because there is very little leeway when only a few thousands of an inch off the lands . Seat them @ the 2.8"+/- & you will be fine , I usually get mine around 2.79+/-. Just remember that different bullet Manufacturers & different weight bullets may not all have the same olgave & if seating close to the lands ,they must be measured independently, for safety. I like the steel lock nut die sets like the RCBS , as said that rubber o-ring on the Lee is good for it to lock down , bit it could give a little & may be why your readings are off a little . I use a wrench or Channel locks to tighten my die lock nuts/ring. I have Dillon lock rings on most of my Dies because they go on my Dillon or my single stage press's.
  10. How much of a difference are you reading ? I have not seen much of a difference , but some use this tool to help sort out bullets for long range .
  11. He's not right in the head .
  12. I have a Superior Springs 308 buffer spring ( Tubb's ) & whats good about them is , you can use it in Carbine or rifle systems . I'm about to use it in my 20" with rifle type stock( same spring that was in my 16" bbl. Carbine ) . The difference in the operation of the action in the Carbine was less felt recoil & The brass just ended up in a neat pile , about two feet from my feet & I mean a nice pile . I plan to do Velocity testing in both rifles this year, just to see if there is a difference & I will use M80 , to do it in both rifles .
  13. All to confusing to me , I'l stick with the DPMS types , that I can use std DPMS type parts that fit & function . This goes back to my post # 4!
  14. It appears no one here knows for sure who makes their barrels & if they do , they are keeping it to them selfs. One thing I do know is ,really good Barrels are not inexpensive, just the way it is & you get what you pay for . If you are unsure who makes it & concerned about the quality or length of service life , find another . Bantering back & forth is accomplishing nothing .
  15. New rifle , call or email Armalite for assistance & advice . Let us know what they say . Rifle should have no failures , right out of the box !
  16. Nice , think it will hold up better than the Bushnell . Nice cheek pad . <thumbsup>
  17. Oil the detent & work it a little & see if it free's up some .
  18. At least you"all are safe & unhurt . Its just a building & nothing but a thing . Snow ! I'm going to the Beach tomorrow to check out my new Metal Detector , I got from santa . Maybe Ill find a land mine or two . <laughs>
  19. Yes , but some don't like Plastic Mags . I have a Early CMMG lower that will not work with Pmags , Metal ones work fine with it though . I also have a bunch of Brownells Mags for AR 15's & they all work flawlessly . That price may be lower than most can get them at , not sure if if showing my dealer pricing .
  20. Good read .
  21. Do these people making these videos really believe in what they are creating ?
  22. 078-000-200WB 20-Round 308/7.62 AR Magazine $16.89 $19.99 Pre-Order Pre-Order
  23. Question is , how really large is the gap & does it hinder the function of the rifles action. I can see through mine when put up to the light , but how much of a gap is the concern . One would think that those making the 80% lowers are adhering to Mil Spec's , but who knows . I know of some using the Tactical Machining 80% lowers & Jigs ,with out problems , I have no experience with 80 % lowers myself .
  24. I definitely do not go out on Amateur night any more . <lmao> But for those that do , I agree with the above , be safe.
  25. The wife likes to shop for some groceries at Wally world because of prices , but I have curtailed as much of that as possible . I prefer to shop close to my house & pay slightly more . Support local business & keep them close to you . I still haven't got that through her head completely . The rest of those I don't deal with , so no problem & I drive an F150 & Harley Davidsons & the wife has a Mustang. For most of these businesses , it is extortion , but with the liar in chief in office , this will go on with out any interference with any rule of law. The" Bobble head "is just another shyster , using race as a product. With luck , his illnesses with make short work of him.
