  1. Its never been hard for them in the past . <dontknow>
  2. I think it was only a matter of time before the ATF rethought the Pistol brace , doesn't surprise me in the least . 800 yards & 1K with a lot of practice , of course the Barrel , Trigger & ammo have a lot to do with it , but I believe its the shooter that will put it all together.
  3. I would still try a steel mag , just for $hits & giggles . Do you have the correct Buffer spring ? The Buffer spring should strip a round from the mag & force the BCG into battery , even with the slight resistance of a cartridge in the mag.. This should be answered , as said .
  4. I just ordered one for my NEF Handy Rifle . It should have no problem taking the recoil of the 45-70 . I offer the DNZ mounts to anyone that needed them & no one has chose other wise so far. They are a solid mounting system for most rifles . Made in USA & I'll post some photo's when its mounted.
  5. As far as 308AR's go , they share the same Receiver extensions ( Buffer tube ) as the M16/M4/AR15 , the Armalite , AR 10 uses a some what different system & can be used with special attention to components . As far as a DPMS /SR25 pattern of receivers using a M16/AR 15 rifle Receiver extension , you need a DPMS 308 Type spring & 308 rifle Buffer . Which is out of stock at Brownells , but there are a lot of places selling them .
  6. Just think of how much fun it would be to shoot , brother against brother , both with the same rifles . <thumbsup> Then let the alterations begin . <laughs>
  7. So , you are saying that when more than one round is loaded in the Mag., it will double feed ? If you have just PMags , use a DPMS or other brand steel mag. Rifle could be short stroking . Does the last round in the mag hold/catch the BCG back , after its fired ? Can you manually cycle the action with an empty mag. & it will hold/catch the BCG .
  8. I would replace the gas rings , but the real question is why it has a ridge for the Gas Rings hang up on, for this to happen in the first place .
  9. That , is going to take a long time to heal !
  10. Looks like a fun shoot & that's a nice looking range !
  11. I agree with all ,the all seeing Robocop has said. <thumbsup> But they won't be any where near the $ 1000.00 price . You can't beat that price of the AR 10.
  12. There is much more behind the seems & under the table choking of our rights , since these usurpers took over .This is probably choreographed by them . :bat:
  13. Ya , blame it on the Bike ! <laughs>
  14. The Forward assist on most DPMS type uppers is not like the AR 15/16/M4 rifles , it works , well some what works , like the last 1/8" it will hook up . I have dust covers on all my AR's & one of my 308AR's doesn't have a Forward assist ( Tactical Machining )& have no function problems . As said by some here before , if your 308 AR fails to feed , you have other problems & the Forward assist will not be much help . What does "Assaults from the Beach have to do with anything ? The Dust cover is just that , a dust cover & I have never used the F/A on my 308 AR's , not much help any way. There are manufacturers making Bolt Carriers & Upper receivers to function just like there little brother AR 15 Family ( Areo ? ) I believe you should only get receivers as a set , Upper & Lower by the same manufacturer & any more , I only will use sets from manufacturers that make complete rifles also , so you know they have a good chance to work together . I don't have the machinery available any more to do a 80% so can't help you there or how the finished 80% will function or co-function with other manufacturers Upper receivers.
  15. Unless you have lightened BCG ,Buffer /spring , opening the adj. gas block adj. all the way up , would make it like you had a std . non-adj. gas block on . Like most of AR rifles out there . I would think it would be more the shooter than the rifle shooting oddly. Too much or too little gas pressure may cause function problems , but doubt it will change bullet impact or performance .
  16. I wear glasses daily, both my regular & my sun glasses are safety lenses .
  17. I posted only because I found it interesting in two ways , One , its 300BLK ammo & when some said this cartridge would not take off , well this & all the others making ammo , shows it is getting a following with Ammunition manufacturers . Two , what are those glow tips for , Zombie killers ? Is the bounty on Zombies so good that you can afford to use this stuff . <dontknow> <laughs>
  18. Nice job ! <thumbsup>
  19. What purpose would a glow tip have , other than finding it in the dark ?
  20. Damn , same here , when I used to live up north . We called it a Sausage party! <lmao>
  21. I will wait till it comes out on Direct TV to watch it . I'm not going to a Germ farm to see any Movie !
