  1. Nice ! Just can't find 110 gr. bullets & 110's & 125's ,are about all I shoot any more .
  2. Nice looking rifle . All we need now is a range report. :auto:
  3. A good trigger, good barrel , good ammo & practice.
  4. The CQB's are nice , have you got your hands on one yet , Robocop ?
  5. I won't buy any other charging handle but a MechArmor ,Tac ops 1.
  6. If the barrel will not head space correctly , send it back, /w bolt to Fulton Armory . That way, if there is a chamber problem , they will repair or replace the barrel & all you have to do is pay for shipping & maybe for checking head spacing . That will take those two factors out of the equation. FA says , they have a special chamber & a std reamer may not work or could make your problem worse. I've been building & repairing these type rifles for over thirty years & have never came across a bad chamber , not saying its not possible , with mass production , but not a normal problem . Maybe some here are finding bad chambers ,left & right ,I just don't & if I did I would send it back to the Manufacturer, if its new. One other thing , if it has a bad chamber , wouldn't you think it would have a problem ejecting almost every round fired & not just with ten in two hundred rounds fired ?
  7. Photo's ?
  8. I think they run the Pistol length for better function with Sound Suppressors & heavy bullets , I believe. Piston system should work , may have to tweak the buffer , depends .
  9. I have never bought or owned an AR 15/16 that I haven't built & that includes several select fire versions . I would not think twice about taking any of the ones I've built for others or the ones I own, into combat .
  10. FA rifle length gas system will use a std AR 15 rifle length gas tube . I have two & they work fine ( 16"& 20" ) I have never heard of a FA ,Kreiger Criterion barrel, having a bad chamber ,but they are mass produced & any thing is possible . I thought at first , looking at your spent failed brass, That they were ejecting prematurely & may be , but the barrel extension ,locking lug marks are probably from the BCG force ing the spent case against them. I have a CMMG lowered build , that will not function reliably with PMags , you need to find another manufacturers mag that is known to work in another like rifle to test. I think its all in the bolt , your not the first to have problems ejecting with JP's bolt . They make top of the line parts & rifles , but as with anything else , any manufacturer can have a bad production run , I don't care what name brand they are under .
  11. Same here.
  12. Bolt bounce is where the BCG is moving too fast & compressing the spring in the receiver extension to max compression & bouncing off ,( weak spring , too light of buffer or wrong or mismatched components ,( receiver extension, buffer , buffer spring) ) The BCG is moving so fast that the spent case is past the ejection port before its released from the bolt & gets contained it the upper receiver & can cause other problems also , that you don't seem to have . Your extractor may be holding the spent case too long , its a timing thing , all functions must be done at a predetermined time to function correctly & if one is slow or premature , it will screw things up. Usually a rough or tight chamber will leave an exaggerated extractor mark on the spent case or may just sit in the chamber & not be ejected. The mag catch can be too loose & not hold the mag securely , but not too tight ,to where you can not release the mag.. I set mine up on 308AR's to where I can't release the mag. & then one turn at a time out, till the mag can be released properly . You have your mags numbered , when you shoot & the rifle fails , put that mag aside & test the next one & if all your mags fail to function the rifle , its probably not the mags.. I assume you are using different manufacturers mags .As said before , DPMS had a run of screwed up feed lips on some mags. & replace them under warranty .
  13. Gander Mountain Ah, but you have no money . I'm in the same boat , but I live in the United State's of America & can buy anything I want , when I do have the money. <thumbsup>
  14. I'm also waiting for the Lancer's, to try out.
  15. Unique & Bullseye for me.
  16. Nice , let us know how she shoots . I' would like to know what you think of that Magpul stock .
  17. I think we talked about this already but , are there any marks on the top of your disconnector ? Like the hammer could be hitting it & slowing down the BCG travel . it would be on top , in front of the disconnector hook or sear. It could slow it down momentarily ,at the wrong moment. How tight is your magazine catch ? How far is the release button turned into the threads of the mag. catch ? Does your Bolt stop move freely in the receiver ? Replace the extractor, its spring , ejector & its spring . Check sealing of Carrier key, make sure Gas Key is sealing on Bolt carrier . Can be done withe light air pressure & soap bubble solution . If BCG is caught & held back on the last round in the mag. & its locking it back properly , then the gas system is working & not short stroking . Now you could be having what they call , Bolt Bounce , because the catch has nothing to do with the cycling operation with ammo in the mag. ( unless it sticking & interfering with function of the BCG ) Bolt bounce, would involve the Buffer & spring or receiver extension Or high operating gas pressure . Superior Springs (TUBB's) has a flat wire spring for the 308 , same spring for Carbine or Rifle , might be worth a try . My 308AR carbine runs smooth with it in there .
  18. Why , its just a little wet & muddy ,is that bad for them ? <laughs>
  19. Tumbled 300 45 ACP brass to get ready to size & de-prime before the S/S tumbling .
  20. I'm taking the 16" & the 20" to the range together this week if I get a chance & do a side by side / with Chrono result, & targets , of course .
  21. I would not put too much lube & that it runs out the barrel . Would be nice if you had a spare Bolt or BCG to try out in the rifle .
  22. I see they are around $ 150 . I cane see this for a competition or mil spec operator , but for the regular shooter , not sure , with that kind of cost .
  23. How easy is it to move your bolt in & out of the bolt carrier ? Loose or easy to push in or out (like the bolt was going in & out of battery ) or does it feel like a tight fit ? Check gas rings for fitment & make sure the ring gaps are staggered . Make sure the screws attaching the carrier key are to spec's (tight) How does the a empty cartridge case fit in the bolt head . When you fit a empty case into the bolt face & force the case flat & let go of it , does it drop out of the bolt face ? How freely did the ejector move , hard spring pressure to force it down ?
