  1. <lmao>
  2. Call or email TM , They are very cool people .I have been there a couple of times to buy things. That pin is probably just stuck in there as has been said , just needs some help.
  3. If you see the news about the baggage handles ripping peoples personal items off, Postal employees could be doing the same. I have to admit , I have never had a problem with any of the shippers , knock on wood ,because I have a Christmas scope for myself in shipment now .
  4. If the 15 1/2 " gas tube is keeping the BCG from locking into battery , I would get the std AR 15 rifle length gas tube . I don't need the one I have if you want it . Shipping it now would be crazy , but I will if you want it , just PM me . I believe we had a similar issuer not to long ago with the opposite situation , the posters tube was too short & he went to an armilite tube to make it right . No photo is seen, as said, but I get what your are talking about.
  5. The snow was great, I got to use my snow camo for the first time in years. I have gun camera footage of the nice buck miss with the crossbow , in the snow in open ground . It was text book ,until I missed. <laughs> There were no Bucks shot or sighted at camp the entire week.
  6. What you have had all this time & no photo's , stop teasing us, even though we deserve it. <dontknow> There should be a new rule , no photo's ,no post , damn it !
  7. That is of course there are no other AR's that can accept that barrel , laying around he house. Hell, they got that one guy because he had M16 parts at his parents house , totally different address & I think some were conveniently found on the floor , go figure. We talk about this like its nothing ,but as Robo stated , they can screw your life up over a part, that isn't even installed . This is real serious to me because I know first hand what could happen to you .
  8. Small pair hemostats work also , because you can lock them at different clamping pressures .
  9. Why sugar coat how you feel about it , just tell him <laughs> Go for it , you only live once & its not my money or marriage <thumbsup>
  10. You want it tight , with a light force it should seat. Be careful if you decide to take some off for fitment , its an alignment pin for a reason.
  11. I have a CMMG lowered 308 that will absolutely not work right with Pmags , but has worked with all metal mags. I put in it ,but my problem is not bolt hold open , its a feeding problem. I believe all 308 Pmags are the same. Make sure you also have a 308 bolt stop.
  12. Surprised they didn't have lunch waiting for you .The least they could do.
  13. With most this is not a problem , but you have to remember if the BATFE wants to stick it to you about the parts being readily available to make a SBR , you can be assured they will try. There are far too many documented cases where they have & with less to work with. I see nothing wrong with it ,but what would be the problem with the barrel fitted with the legal length attachment before it gets to your state or address. Sure you could do it as you describe a thousand times with out a problem , but why take the chance & be the first to have an issue with your local/ state LE or BATFE. Its your call & I will bug off now . C:-)
  14. I assume that's what he means , photos would be nice. Is there any difference in dimensions ( length) between an AR 10 vs an DPMS BCG's ? I personally would use a DPMS BCG with a DPMS barrel/extension. I have never owned or worked on an Armilite AR 10 , so I can only go by whats on forums like this one .
  15. Wow . I have one of there Gen.II uppers on a CMMG lower & they make a great product . Hope they get it right this time.
  16. Thanks & shooting is one thing I don't mind spending money on. My wife encourages me to go to the range more . I keep thinking very morning that I'm forgetting to do some thing when the wife gets ready for work, just can't put my finger one it
  17. The std m16/AR15 gas tube I have is 15 1/8 " long , if that helps. Do not know squat about Armilite parts , but as said , make sure every thing is seated properly. Having a DPMS barrel ,may be where the trouble lies , but others have installed them on Armilite receivers & with the proper parts , it should work.
  18. Lost primers, even you don't see them in there , seem to find a way to screw things up . I had one once that feed into the chamber with a cartridge, took a bit to get it out . Would not want that to happen in a fire fight , that's for sure.
  19. Yes and there were many , this year.
  20. If you want to know what your reloads or just want to know what different ammo/ bbl. combo's are doing , a Chronograph is where its at . I can't believe I reloaded for so long with out one .
  21. Isn't that the point of reloading ? :auto:
  22. I clean my brass before & after sizing . Cleaning it a little before you size gets the brass a little clean to keep from sizing with dirt on the brass to keep your die from any damage . Final tumbling to make it nice & shiny . Most( but not all ) sizing lubes are water soluble , so you can wash them in hot water( hot water will flash dry faster than cold water ) & dish soap & let it dry before you final tumble them . Tumbling media will turn some bad colors when it done , just an experience thing . If you have a rotary tumble , check out wet tumbling with Stainless steel media, I'm a convert !
  23. I was lucky enough to get a 308 TM stripped upper for my DPMS complete lower . They are nicely made & I still have not made a decision on a barrel yet to finnish it off ,but there are Billet uppers out there that will work with theTM lower or a FA stripped upper ..
  24. I get cold weather practice every hunting season . You find out what works & what doesn't & this year didn't disappoint , for others any way . I had so many layers on , it took me five minuets to find my way to my hose ( who seemed to be hiding every time I had to go )
  25. If you can raise the mounting on the reloading press(s) you may still be able to use the top drawers . Other wise, just don't use them . Working height may be an issue in extended (raised ) mounts . Drawers are good to have for reloading supplies or tooling. Any kind of mounting extension must be good & solid . I have had to strengthen home made benches because it sucks to have a bench that wobbles around when reloading.
