  1. One of our local ranges has the same issue (but don't give a hoot about ricochets). Club members were insistent that they needed to purchase property downrange. Wise board members said "Nobody will ever buy that land." Now there is a house peering down from about 650 yards out past the berm. Just a matter of time...
  2. Uh, yeah...pretty sure that's it. ROFL
  3. He had a Varminter, not sure which stock.
  4. And one of our members just brought this issue up to a manufacturer, who sells "an AR10 that is DPMS pattern", apparently oblivious that "AR10" is a registered trademark to Armalite. Us LAR-8 fans prefer the proper terminology, primarily because it irritates Rsquared. My buddy sold his LAR-8 because with his pet handloads he couldn't get it to group less than 5/8" at 100 yards.
  5. /\/\/\/\ That right there is why the purists insist that it has to be a series 70-style 1911.
  6. /\/\/\/\ I don't believe him. It's not like the poppy seed muffin proof that is out there. Seen scores of people say they use it daily and pass UAs. The Army called him on toro caca because it was toro caca.
  7. "I should...shouldn't I"? Here? Really? You should have posted us the tracking number already.
  8. The third Welcome from AZ! Wait until you get to one of our shoots!
  9. My buddy did the OTC hemp oil, like for salad dressing as a substitute for olive oil, whilest undergoing treatment for prostate cancer. His doctors were amazed at his recovery but he has no proof that the hemp oil helped.
  10. Nope. Those need thousands of feet of runway. While it is marketed as being "rough field capable" there are rough fields, then there are rough fields. And it still needs thousands of feet, rough or not.
  11. They're late to a lot of parties: high beavertail, polymer frames, striker-fired pistols. They do well when they show up though.
  12. Maybe each section on 308AR should have a sticky titled "308s Are DIFFERENT!!", with a listing of what we know to be compatible, what isn't, what manufacturers recognize compatibility issues, and those with rude customer service using other companies' trademarks.
  13. Get hemp oil. It stomps fish oil into the ground for omegas, more easily absorbed into the system as well.
  14. Bertha? Jenny? Mamacita?
  15. This is too funny!
  16. That's interesting...the club president went through the trouble of welding angle iron on the target stand uprights, to deflect bullets. Due to all the holes that appear mysteriously a couple of times a year.
  17. Listed as for .300 Blackout: http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/receiver-parts/receivers/rifle-receivers/blemished-model-7-action-300-blackout-prod77801.aspx?psize=96
  18. I'm that way about many country musicians. Not too big on their songs but it sure is fun to watch them jam.
  19. That's the way I read it: powder weights with the same bullets, identical in weight for each caliber. I was thinking it may be barrel harmonics, how the barrel vibrates/whips differently with each powder load but it seems odd that higher powder loads in each caliber both impact lower than lighter powder loads, seeming to indicate that a powder load's effect on barrel harmonics may be predictable. Mikedaddy!! You have a new assignment!
  20. Ace Hardware sells canning jars pretty cheap around here. Have people give you a jar deposit.
  21. I can see that. But with rock solid I'd think government is scared to even approach it, due to fear of pissing off their handlers.
  22. Beware the MikedaddyH 10mm loads! They are addicting, plying wiley ways to your craving for more power!
  23. Somehow I can't imagine the Rockefellers or Hunts saying "We need a rock solid trust to ensure our fortunes are secure from government seizure for generations to come. Call that lawyer that does trusts for $129!" That fee of $129 is well under half an hour's billable wage for a lawyer here. Pretty sure the best lawyers here didn't vet that and put their blessing on it.
  24. Like Robo says, "Buy once, cry once!" You need titanium: http://murphyprecision.com
