  1. 2 MOA...very acceptable IMO! I'd like to see a similar setup in 6.5 Creedmore. That may help with the shoulder serving as an anvil.
  2. I agree with JT, that was the interpretation I had also. Civilians are far behind the curve now. With what has been brought to light, that which we know they are working to develop, the real stuff is far beyond that. And we know they are working with sonic and phased sonic weapons, focused electro-magnetic energy weapons, awesome particle energy lasers, and much more. Militia and armed citizenry have been demonized for so long, we will never catch up. The "death by a thousand cuts" has already been performed. Just waiting on the body to realize there is no blood left.
  3. His initial recommendation was 15 round magazines. He later modified that to 10, then down to 5, stating "There is no reason any civilian needs more than 5 rounds in a semi-automatic firearm."
  4. Looks like the 6.5 Creedmore is giving it a run for its money. In close. Pretty impressive with the long legs!
  5. Clinton era? Try end of the Reagan era and dawn of the Bush (the one who renounced his lifetime NRA membership) years, when William B. Ruger sent a letter to every...that's every...member of Congress, urging them to prohibit possession of "high-capacity magazines". That letter was March 30, 1989. Chamberlain nothing. He was devising ways to curtail the 2nd Amemendment all on his own.
  6. A dog walks into a bar, hops up onto a stool, looks the bartender in the eye and says "Hey, guess what? I can talk! Have you ever seen a talking dog before? How about a drink?" The bartender thinks for a moment, then says "Sure. The toilet is around the corner." Robocop is out on patrol one day and sees an old lady driving by while knitting. He roars up next to her window and yells while pointing "PULL OVER!!" She glances up and says "No, it's a sweater." Some people have asked me what I'm going to do in retirement. I'm going to build a house. I applied for the building permit. It was going to be 100' high, 400' wide, 12 gun turrets at various locations, and a bad azz outdoor sound system for entertaining all the neighbors. The plan was to have parking for 200 cars for all my friends and it was going to be painted snot green with pink trim. The city zoning officer said "No way! It ain't gonna happen!" So I resubmitted the same request to build a mosque. We break ground next Friday!
  7. Yay. IMO he would not have stepped down unless the deck was already rigged. Ted Cruz is claiming he heard that Boehner made a sweatheart deal with Pelosi, Obama, Et Al, to pass the funding bill with all the liberal wishes intact. He gets a cushy lobbying position in exchange. http://www.wnd.com/2015/09/cruz-beware-boehners-shady-deals-with-obama/ From the article, “I will say, the early reports are discouraging. If it is correct that the speaker, before he resigns, has cut a deal with Nancy Pelosi to fund the Obama administration for the rest of its tenure, to fund Obamacare, to fund executive amnesty, to fund Planned Parenthood, to fund implementation of this Iran deal — and then, presumably, to land in a cushy K Street job after joining with the Democrats to implement all of President Obama’s priorities, that is not the behavior one would expect of a Republican speaker of the House.”
  8. Unconscionable!! How in the world are their city council members going to make black market money with rules like that?
  9. Isn't that pawt of Bahston?
  10. Simple, beautiful! I love it!
  11. My first 1911A1 was a Springer, when they first came out with SS in 1993 or 1994. Plain 3-dot sights, short trigger, arched MSH, spurred hammer was the flavor, no choices. Replaced the trigger, hammer, sear, MSH, MSC, hammer strut, and firing pin and it ran like a Singer sewing machine. A couple of years later Kimber was being raved about, so I bought one in SS. WTF?! Plastic trigger and MSH?! For $250 more than my Springer cost?!? Okay. Rode it out and took it shooting. The Kimber was only on target with 230gr pills. At the time I was into the 185gr trend (like thousands of others). Adios Kimber. I will say their product line is greatly improved, while I'm not happy with the proprietary "safe-action lock" on the MSH on new Springfield 1911 pistols.
  12. He should have been playing her like a guitar.
  13. I believe that's what we were comparing to a current-production "Gold Cup" Colt. The Colt looks like complete trash next to the Springfield. Even a novice pistolero could see the huge difference in quality.
  14. Now the kid is kicked off the POSOTUS's Twitter?! Lamery. Lamery everywhere. http://www.wnd.com/2015/09/c-j-pearson-13-potus-blocked-me-on-twitter/?cat_orig=diversions
  15. He's rolling over in his grave, starting with when the family left Sturm, Ruger, & Co., then SRC started selling 20-round Mini-14 mags, attaching flash hiders, collapsable stocks, and pistol grips. He was a smart man but no friend of American Citizens having an unrestricted 2nd Amendment Right.
  16. The forum has been wigging out on me last night and this morning. Last night it froze after composing a long post, nothing worked. This morning it shows me unread posts, then says I need to sign in. Sign in, get an error showing me already signed in.
  17. Hunh...it looks very similar but shorter than the brake on the original Armalite AR-10 from the '50s.
  18. ROFL
  19. "Energy of an explosive" would seem to be contrary to BATF's definition of a propellant. 2.1.3Rifle. A rifle is a firearm designed to be fired from the shoulder and designed to use the energy of an explosive in a fixed cartridge tofire only a single projectile through a rifled barrel for each single pullof the trigger.11A rifle subject to the NFA has a barrel or barrels of less than 16 inches in length.
  20. You should reconsider. Once Mike gets to really working on that pole...wow! You can see it as an art form, not just sexploitation.
  21. Fixed it for you bro!
  22. Welcome from AZ!
  23. In other words, once your gas hole runs right everything else is happy.
  24. Heck, I'd build one that light if it would group a repeatable 2 MOA at 100 yards!
