  1. It's definately the city government in Tucson, at all levels from public school district to mayor and council. And the people that keep voting them into office. If this guy thinks harrassing people at bus stops is "big brother policing", he definately wasn't around for the police led homeless encampment bulldozing of hundreds of tents, shacks, and shantys of 700-900 homeless in the 1990s.
  2. Call. Your information could help to cement a pattern or provide other information that is now lacking.
  3. Burn!
  4. TWO bottles of it!
  5. /\/\/\/\ You could probably use one of those fiberglass shovel handles for the AR's stock. JB Weld that biotch right in place! The handguard is just screaming for a recycled brake cleaner can.
  6. Was instructing at a place today and got to hear their morning "pep talk". One of the managers stepped forward and said "My daughter is doing a fundraiser for the school selling cups, so this will be good for them. If you have any questions just ask me." I asked "Is the supporter included in the price?"
  7. Did you see the look on her face when she realized the innuendo (no pun intended)?
  8. Anyone here ride a tandem bike? Picked up a used Raleigh off Craigslist awhile back. Finally ready to get it cleaned up and ready to roll. MTB gearing and setup for "comfort" riding, i.e., people wanting to ride around the block. The steel frame is great and it has the telescoping adjustments for the stoker position. The seats and grips need to go. The components are pretty much garbage, low-end...a couple of steps above Huffy. My sinister plan is to use this for school bus duty, picking the girl up from school. Years ago at work, when I found out the owner rode a tandem with his wife, mentioned I was thinking about getting a tandem. He quit smiling, turned towards me and while slightly nodding his head up and down said "It will test your relationship."
  9. The pre-nuke swords are stronger because of exposure to the radiation. Just like Godzilla and Gamera!!
  10. Even though more recent, more scientific studies show the condor lead poisoning is not coming from "gut piles with lead" but because condors are nesting in old lead mines. Dude...you best swim that river to get over here before we convince Donald to build a wall keeping Californians out.
  11. How cleanly did they (there should be two) break off? Unless there is a large piece of the plunger tube body still attached, and it looks perfectly cylindrical and unflared, I would try and punch it through to the inside of the frame. This may be a help:
  12. First time I've heard a first-hand report of this happening. That was one of Ruger's selling points on their SR1911, that the plunger tube is one piece with the frame and not staked on like it is with other 1911s. He's looking at $60-80 for the part and staking tool.

What sold me on plastic pistols were the Danish special forces testing, against multiple steel and aluminum framed pistols. Mud tests, throw tests, run over with tracked vehicles, thrown from helos, frozen, heated. While no firearms misfired, the Glock was the only pistol that could be picked up and fired after each test. Not every other pistol failed each test, but only the Glock 17 passed them all. That being said, I personally dislike Glock pistols and do not own one since quitting Corrections.
  14. The problem with "felonies" is that they are what those in power determine them to be. Misdemeanors also. I know of one guy who was arguing with his gf at the time. Police were called by neighbors. Upon their arrival they witnessed dude throw a piece of pizza against the wall. Charged him with domestic violence. He can no longer own firearms. In this topsy-turvy world where evil is good and good is called evil, a person breaking the arm of a thief is charged with felony battery while the thief gets a warning. Murderers and rapists (irrefutible evidence) should be executed. We wouldn't need to worry about their rights later on afterwards.
  15. Possibly. Or the quality control across the whole NFA spectrum will drop, much like it has across not only the firearms industry in general but manufacturing as a whole. Marlin rifles are now priced as "New Remington crap" and "JM proofed from CT". I can definitely see a BIG difference between current Auto Ordnance Tommy Guns and those made prior to 1986, and a big dip in quality from 1930 to 1980.
  16. Check around with your retailers, tell them you want MSRP or lower.
  17. Is not! It's from Obama. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpAOwJvTOio
  18. I'd never seen that commercial before.
  19. That's not good. Not good. That silence is her mentally recalling "Where was it I saw those Labor Day sales flyers?" Hide the mail! Hide her purse!
  20. Ironically the .22 Mag has been much more available than the .22LR around here recently.
  21. CDNN has unreal LOW prices sometimes. If they can't print it because it's so low, it must be pretty low. I've not shot one but have done hands on examinations. The only thing that looks weak is the Euro-style mag release, on the heel of the grip: big cheap piece of plastic held on with one long, skinny pin which also appears to be plastic. Sportsman's has been selling them for a bit below MSRP and it looks like the crazed frenzy of people buying PMR-30s for twice MSRP are over. Even auction sites are reasonable now.
  22. So build him a gun and put it in a box.
  23. "Open season on whites and cops." http://www.wnd.com/wnd_video/its-open-season-on-killing-whites-and-police/ Discuss.
  24. Aawww...that was nice of you to pat R2 on the back like that. LMAO
