  1. Most modern barrels will handle .308 Win. even if stamped 7.62x51. The issue is primarily with older first generation surplus 7.62x51 rifles, whose actions can not handle repeated higher pressures of .308 Win.
  2. Must have been his turn to bring the donuts and he didn't show.
  3. As Gra points out, there is a continued pattern since JFK got whacked. You skipped Goldwater though, the first GOP cannibalized "people's candidate", torn apart by the party elites in conjunction with the media. Same was done with Perot. The game with Ron Paul was blatant, they aren't even trying to hide their shenanigans anymore. It's easy to get reeled into the hyperbole but the game is fixed. Gone are the jury box and the ballot box, and societal elite have made the soapbox ineffectual. Only one box left and there seems to be no gumption to use it.
  4. Getting the error message EX126 when trying to enter on Safari.
  5. HAHAHAHAHAHA!! Why do they call you Crazy Mike?!
  6. It isn't just Black Lives Matter but also Farrakhan (by implication those in the nation of islam) and the NBPP. A local radio host (who is a maligned black conservative) was yelling at regular media yesterday "You idiots don't understand! This is a race way! You think they want a solution but they have their solution: kill white people and kill law enforcement." The James T. Harris Show, 1400 MST every week day: http://www.1041kqth.com/listen-live/
  7. Listening a bit to Laura Ingraham on the radio while driving, she was playing Trump sound bites. No written speeches, says whats on his mind, has fun with the audience. On this one he was slamming Hillary's assistant who is married to "Anthony Wiener, who's a perv. He is! She has to be telling him about everything she sees at work. You think she doesn't?"
  8. SCORE!! Range report! Range report! Range report!
  9. Fixed it for you! Everyone knows what the problems are at hand and I hear it voiced daily...just not anyone in a "leadership" position.
  10. Yeah...I have a 1911 that was supposed to have a firing pin block safety. It must have fallen out when I was shooting it because now there is just this hole where it used to be.
  11. Amen brother Magwa! Where's that flag waving smiley?
  12. IMO it's only going to get worse. Law enforcement personnel are the visible face of a government that doesn't listen or act on behalf of their citzens.
  13. Exactly. The warnings certain manufacturers give about being proprietary are probably thought up by their legal department. Kind of silly to say "The threads and parts may measure and appear to be the same but they are different," always smacked of legalese to me.
  14. I thought Glocks were made in Smyrna, Georgia, USA...in order to compete with certain government and law enforcement contracts.
  15. Yup. Funny thing is that depreciation is so very fast on new aircraft that the good condition older ones (say late '70s and early '80s) are priced about the same as good condition newer ones from the 2000s, with all the EFI and glass cockpits.
  16. Not me...but that guy Tom worked with apparently tried.
  17. Yeah, what DNP said. I think the dude with the positive test was horking big bong bowls after work and thought "Hey, if poppy seed muffins get you popped for heroin then I'm going to say I was using hemp oil on my salad."
  18. Heck, $6/gallon for Avgas now at 10 gph makes big holes in the pocketbook. Flew a later model 210 once to El Paso. Nice and roomy compared to the 172s.
  19. Bwwaaaahahahahahaha!!! You just reminded me of some bilge rat on the ship who, when looking at F-14s flying with the wings swept back said "Look! There's an F-15!" and then "Oh wow! There's an F-14!" when they had the wings forward for landing. No correcting him either...he KNEW that F-15s were escorting our ship for protection.
  20. Nope, no shirt tail cutting. My instructor's custom after a student's solo was to give them miniature pilot's wings. Flew the Cherokee Warrior 160s for a bit. A little faster than the 172 but with a much higher take off and landing speed. Was working in the C182RGs when 9/11 went down. Yeah, that King Katmai is some cool beans! Just a couple of hundred feet take off at gross, with zero wind. Mike, love that fast-back square tail!
  21. Asks the Desert Ninja Squad 1 AND 2. lol
  22. Heck Magwa, you're so worth quoting you do it yourself.
  23. Just saw a report they have the suspect in custody. In Texas? They're measuring the death seat for his a$$ already.
  24. Dad's Pumpkin! That's great! My first solo, St. Patrick's Day 1999. Should I do ownership again, the Peterson King Katmai is calling to me...although I'd like to see one with the newer Continental 300hp TDI.
  25. Man, that seems to be a crappy condition of employment! Mine was a '73 C172M. Had it on leaseback with a flying school and was making enough to pay for my training and, when that was done, for flying and maintanence. Then the flight school was sold to a trial lawyer and the cashflow stopped. Then two of his instructors taxied the wing into a pole while looking at other aircraft, he refused to make an insurance claim but did pay for repairs. Sold it shortly thereafter to a broker. I see now that C172M was sold to Mexico, and now N20308 is registered to a flippin' hot air balloon.
