THAT is some true schit right there! I was substitute teacher in a constitution class several years ago and the teacher left a quiz on the Bill of Rights for them to do. Afterwrds I was supposed to go over the questions with them. They all thought it was a fukkin joke and took nothing serious. I told them what scared the schit out of me was that they would all be able to vote in a couple of years and they were absolutely clueless about politics and government. Those dipschits told their teacher I was RACIST!!! WTF has racism got to do with me calling them out on their political intelligence??? Racist is just a catchword for these kids nowadays, they have no clue what it actually means or how to use it.

I'm just the opposite! I'll take a 5th wheel over a bumper pull any day. I've pulled a lot of bumper pulls but the first time I took my 5th wheel out I was hooked! Also I don't why you say camping in the 5th wheel was a PITA, mine is great, it's just to damn big to go boondocking. I just picked up a 76 Prowler 20 footer for that though. Maybe you problem with the 5th wheel was the 1500 tow vehicle? General consensus in the RV world is that nobody should be towing a 5th wheel with a half ton truck! Yeah, there are 5th wheel RV's out there that are supposedly 1/2 ton towable and it IS doable but seasoned RVers say that just because you can doesn't mean it's safe to do.

Government relocated a bunch of those people here a few years ago, I've heard as many as 200!

@98Z5VNew Mexico can go on your list with Boulder and San Antonio brother, the WHOLE damn state! Albuquerque and Santa Fe have gone full blue and just those two cities rule the politics of the state. Las Cruces isn't far behind either. We had the 2006 influx of Cali liberals also and it has definitely had an effect on this state. We have some damn good Sheriffs who stand up and refuse to enforce anti 2A laws but how long can that dam hold before it breaks? They passed a state law here that ALL firearms transfers have to be done through an FFL now with a background check and it went into effect July 1st. I asked my FFL buddy the other day "Who is enforcing this law? He told me "Absolutely nobody! No FFL holders in the state have received any kind of notification that it went into effect, I had to go online and check to find out that it was in force. Without a statewide registration it's basically unenforcable!" 30 of our 33 Sheriff's won't enforce it and the NMSP don't have the manpower or inclination to deal with it. It's just a feel good law passed to appease the liberal voters of the state. I'm sure it won't even come up in the media again until some poor sap who sold a gun to someone else that was then used in a crime gets prosecuted for noncompliance. That property in Vail is looking better all the time!

That's the outfit that used to make the 'snake' guns! You know, Pythons, Anacondas, Diamondbacks, Cobras etc. I love my Anaconda and Python but I haven't had a Colt 1911 for some time and wouldn't pay what they price them at now.

I've used quite a few uppers and lowers from Anderson and never had any kind of problem with any of them! You'll never get me to buy one of their barrels again though. I got a 16" 308 barrel from them that was a P.O.S.! Tom can attest to that, he saw the 100 yd. 6" groups it shot at the fall shoot a couple of years ago. That barrel is on my work bench now, I use it for a pry bar and it's not much better as a pry bar than it was as a barrel!

This reminded me of an incident from years ago! One of our local S.O. Deputies (later became a hell of a Sheriff) was out deer hunting with a buddy of his. They were on horse back, both riding horses provided by his buddy. Jim asked his friend "Can you shoot off these horses?" and his friend said "Of course!" They split up and a bit later Jim got a shot at a deer and took it. The horse promptly bucked him of onto some rocks, breaking a couple of ribs in the process. Jim got back to camp and told his buddy "I thought you said I could shoot off of this horse!" His friend started laughing and said "I did, but I never said he wouldn't throw your ass!"

BTW, I concur with the author on the use of Law enforcement personal for confiscation, a big majority would refuse to do it, especially out west here.
