It is a 34mm tube. I doubt street prices will be around $2,500, until the older models are cleared out, then they should come down a bit. Local guy I run into at the range has a connection that works for Bushnell, he can get the version like mine for $800 so they have a healthy mark up for sure! -

Honestly my QPQ BCG's are just as easy to clean as my NiB BCG and doesn't have the wear marks after a pile of rounds.

Problem is I've heard plenty on both sides of the political spectrum call for changes to these rules so crazy people can't get weapons, like rules and laws can stop this. In reality they just need to inforce what is already there, repeal the NFA(can't help myself), and encourage the law abiding citizen to arm himself.

Careful with that, better get some due process involved before taking constitutional rights away. Two people can lie and get you committed for a mental evaluation. Lots of room for abuse of the system there. Plain and simple, Liberty is dangerous. If we don't accept that then we don't deserve it.

The tragedy makes the argument that current laws need to be enforced rather than new laws passed a very relavent one. My only worry is the establishment will broaden the scope of offenses and conditions that disqualifies a person so broadly that they effectively disarm most of us.

Sounds like plenty of good bullet choices for a gas gun then. I have been mulling over a 12.5 inch pistol build to replace my P716, it might just be the ticket for that.
