  1. I have always felt the role of the federal government laid out in the 2nd was to protect the right to bear arms country wide, meaning protect the citizens from state or local governments infringing on that right. Seems like plain English and common sense to me. Never have understood how my ancestors allowed things to get where they are now. It would be nice to see action on this instead of just talk.
  2. Tubb's himself gives claims of longer lockup when the spring is used, one of the big benefits of the CWS so they do have one similar effect on the weapon.
  3. Don't recall hearing of issues with it, I think there are just better/easier ways to get the same results. Tubbs may have killed his own market for it with the introduction of his flat wire springs.
  4. Welcome from Iowa, via Virginia!
  5. +1 for ADCO! I used them for a pin and weld, cheap, clean, and very fast!
  6. Really some nice groups, all are acceptable, the FGMM is real nice. How much of a pause did you use versus the rapid stuff? I'm more of a pull the trigger as fast as I can get back on target guy myself.
  7. Very much on point!
  8. Over 2 pounds in weight so it will add a chunk, might have to build a whole new rifle for it
  9. I get looking down the muzzle to inspect, do it myself all the time with pistols. I was taught to visually inspect the chamber, put my thumb or finger in the chamber opening ,position the weapon so a little light can reflect off my finger and look down the muzzle. Now pointing it at someone is a whole different thing, guy is lucky you didn't break his wrist grabbing the weapon. It would be hard for me to go back to that range when that RO was working.
  10. Finally got a good enough deal on a long range scope, $1,325 but usually hard to find under $2,000. I have had the money set aside trying to get a good sale on the 3.5x21 version but when this deal popped up I had to step up. Not the best scope out there but really more than I need. Seller was from Dallas and must have scored a case of these. He has sold several on that auction site and got positive feedback, offered him $1250 and he came back with this price so I grabbed it. http://bushnell.com/tactical/riflescopes/elite-tactical/xrs-4-5-30x-50mm
  11. Not if it is snug and most importantly, functions. It isn't a $2500 LaRue Tactical rifle so you can't expect perfection.
  12. Another Armalite guy here to tell you PWS, hate to but the new Armalite isn't the same on the QC front. I would recommend you build the SBR from scratch though, just not enough savings to buy a second upper versus a whole rifle. You might be able to build two complete Aero rifles just like you want them for the price of one PWS and have something with many more aftermarket options.
  13. That Recoil outfit has their $hit together, always good, straight up info in their rags.
  14. Reminds of the little TV signal jammers they sold in the comic books, used to love hiding them outside my "friend's" houses.
  15. George was a real furball kitten, didn't know she was a female till the Vet called the wife and told her she couldn't neuter George but she could spay her, guess they were truly fur balls
  16. Lost George last year. She was 22 years old, born in the hallway closet and the mellowest cat I have ever seen. The wife says no more pets. I kinda miss having a cat when I'm home but then I'm not the one changing the litter box.
  17. Not the block but SIG has. Swapped it and the piston. Changed the BCG as well. I don't notice a difference, just a click or even a dead trigger once in awhile. All ammo types have seen issues with this rifle, then it will turn around and run a hundred rounds of perfecta without a problem, go figure. I may give them one more crack at it, love shooting it suppressed when it runs. After that it will be sold and I will build a pistol 308.
  18. How much are you willing to spend?
  19. Both ways in all settings, except closed of course.
  20. Yes, fails to lock back just not everytime, turn up the gas and it will go a bit longer but eventually does it again. If it is fixable Sig hasn't figured it out yet. It can have better than a 100 trouble free rounds then throw fits, clean or not, no broken springs, nothing visible to me anyway.
  21. Tell that to my P716! intermittently on all settings.............
  22. LaRue makes some wire management clips for rails.
  23. I already carry enough at 12 O'clock, no room left.
  24. Looks like you have one for about any occasion now I got to shoot a couple different polymer Walthers at a range in Starkville MS one day, don't remember the model numbers but they both had nice triggers, one was to fat in the grip but the owner had ham fists so I'm sure a different back strap would fix it.
  25. Hopefully they drop the 175 a bit as well. I am sitting on 600+ of them so I can wait for it. For some reason my Matrix likes the 7.62 version of the 175's, got several ammo boxes of them as well, I need more range time!
