  1. I've got the SSA in my PM-400 pistol and the SSA-E in an Armalite M-15TBN build. I wouldn't change a thing but they both have a nice smooth pull and very crisp break. Best money I've spent on an AR, except maybe ammo..........
  2. Same here but I like to have some around anyway, it does do a bit better on some barriers. Worries me what they will try next if this works for them.........
  3. The administration appears to be taking a new step against AR-15 ammo; https://www.nraila.org/articles/20150213/batfe-to-ban-common-ar-15-ammo Most online vendors are sold out already. My wife just went and grabbed all that was left at the local Walmart, I can't buy any ammo here in the peoples republic of Massachusetts so I didn't bother to look here........
  4. No offense but I'm hoping to be gone before it thaws here.......I've had my fill of Ptown, I had to ride the bus back from Boston last Sunday, there were more guys dressed like girls than there were girls dressed like girls. :limp-wrist: I don't want to be around when the skirts get short! I'm for sure not in Iowa anymore...there's no place like home.....there's no place like home.....there's no place like home.... <dontknow> should've asked the guy to borrow his ruby slippers....... If I'm still here when the weather breaks I'll be glad to sling some lead! :auto:
  5. YES! I was amazed at how large an area the kill zone was. They had some junk 2 1/2 tons and jeeps scattered around that were peppered with holes. I don't recall what type of warhead they were using but it was some nasty shiiit.
  6. I got to drive a bunch of VIP's to demonstrations when the MLRS's first came on line. The launch was cool but the tour of the target zone was a real eye opener!
  7. Lousy year to be TDY on Cape Cod.............at least snow removal is included in the rent.
  8. I sure hope Armalite hasn't sacrificed the accuracy and reliability from their caveman days for the the little fluff they added...........
  9. I often feel like I'm very much a social minority. Take the time to teach your kids and grandkids leadership skills, not how to "get along"
  10. I think they are just being diplomatic, giving the ATF a chance to reconsider the position. Politely putting them on notice is how I read it. I do prefer the Ares Armor approach but this may work for Sig......I hope.
  11. Sig is responding; http://gunssavelives.net/gun-industry/breaking-sig-responds-to-atf-brace-ruling-will-take-action/ Nice to know they are getting right on top the issue instead of waiting for some poor sap to get charged.
  12. I messed up the link for the VSR; http://www.armalite.com/Categories.aspx?Category=5db02032-2d94-456b-a8ed-d4dd314427ac and a "Tactical" series; http://www.armalite.com/Categories.aspx?Category=4c2a2c00-47e0-4ac2-a1d5-57537c8ffe90 I've noticed that the T and the SASS are the only rifles left with an accuracy claim..............
  13. I just noticed ArmaLite has some new offering up on the web site; www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=AR10...4e-97d6-67f60621cd8f They priced me out of the above pistol offering I was hoping to get. Then there is a new AR-10 called the VSR; www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=AR10...4e-97d6-67f60621cd8f They even got into the AR-15 piston rifle market; www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=M15P...7a-975b-d56df9a47242 Then there are some 3-gun offerings as well; www.armalite.com/Categories.aspx?Categor...f6-9090-5850720f266a I sure hope my LGS will be able to get me better prices, they aren't that competitive so far.
  14. I just don't see this bureaucrats definition of "redesigned" holding up in court..............as long as you have not altered the "brace". Where are those high priced NRA lawyers when you need them??????
  15. "The GCA does not define the term “redesign” and therefore ATF applies the common meaning. “Redesign” is defined as “to alter the appearance or function of.”" This seems to me to be a critical part of the latest letter. As long as you do not alter the brace then it should be fine......just hope the courts see it the same way........
  16. This is in the PRC so they already violated many laws by just having an AR like that, we'll see if the feds get involved in the charges, then it may be an issue.
  17. "A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions." Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. The damn NFA is unconstitutional anyway........it would be nice if the NRA would get their lawyers busy on this blatent buracratic cluster fuk and prevent someone from being hassled. God forbid the government allow me to have an effective weapon to defend myself and family from tyranny..... :soap: stepping down........
  18. Here is bit more from Kyle and Luttrell; http://www.c-span.org/video/?305347-1/book-discussion-american-sniper http://www.c-span.org/video/?305889-1/book-discussion-service-navy-seal-war http://www.c-span.org/video/?204213-10/book-discussion-lone-survivor http://www.c-span.org/video/?202083-1/afghanistan-forgotten-war
  19. I love my SureFire 100 rounder  :auto: it just keeps going and going and going Does a number on the ammo budget though <dontknow>
  20. Death would be to kind for this guy....he needs to live a long life.....in misery and pain.
  21. Under 300 yards FGMM and M-80 ball don't group far apart in my AR-10, it should run all day long with M-80 ball. Call Armalite, you shouldn't have to burn 200 rounds before the weapon functions reliably.
  22. Looks like a complete thread derail.............. can't help but watch a train wreck <munch>
  23. Let me guess, you read Nietzsche???
  24. He learned these legalized extortion tactics from Jesse............the Christian Coalition has done the same crap.
