  1. Had a similar experience in Boston. Weather closed the Provincetown airport so I had to take a bus out to Cape Cod. I was near the back of the bus, it was late so the lighting was bad but this shapely young thing in a skin tight dress got on. Being the gentleman I am I slid over to the window in case she wanted the seat. About halfway back she turned and said something to another rider, deep voice and a huge Adams apple in the otherwise pleasant silhouette. I quickly slid back to the middle and put my bag on the seat, escaped what would have been a very uncomfortable ride! Provincetown was a scary place, first time in the grocery store I end up behind a guy wearing assless jeans, threw up in my mouth a little...........

  3. Get on Gun Broker and keep watching, they come up occasionally. Are you on the notification list with Armalite? Also try calling them, year or so ago somebody got one by calling them.
  4. Scorpius Morchella DIPA by Toppling Goliath Brewing in Decorha Iowa. Pop the top and your nose is met with sweet fresh OJ, a citrus burst. You don't notice the light malty aroma till you get the stuff right on your face. The taste is fantastic, spring for sure with a wonderful green flavor start to finish, fresh ripe citrus, maybe a bit of pineapple on the upfront side, real creamy. The end shows a little bitter but only enough to make the beer not to sweet, balance is dead on with this brew. Changes as it warms, more sweet and more bitter but still maintains that balance, Fuk'n good schit! Really reminds me of a brew they do with some New Zealand hops that I really liked. Buy when you see it in the spring, it's a once a year batch at Morel mushroom time. I will be jumping on more of this stuff.
  5. Bible Belt from Evil Twin Brewing in collaboration with Prairie Artisan Ales and Canned by Westbrook Brewing in Mount Pleasant SC. An Imperial stout aged on coffee, vanilla, chilies and cacao nibs. Big coffee aroma, hints of molasses and malt. Flavor follows nose with a big coffee note all the way through and more molasses as it warms. Has the normal darkly toasted flavor with some dark chocolate. There is just a hint of spice from the chilies as a trailing flavor. Very tasty, rich mouthfeel, not near as boozy as the 13% ABV would make you think.
  6. Geissele Hi-Speed National Match trigger. Hard not to buy two MBT's for the money but I gotta have at least one. https://geissele.com/hi-speed-national-match-trigger-set.html
  7. The rifle continues to throw one out of 10, Granddaughter shot this 10 round group at 100 yards. She called the flyer on the spot, haven't had her on the range for nearly a year and this was her first 10 shots with this particular rifle so not bad at all! The girl can shoot and she's smart!
  8. Hubbard's Cave IIPA Fresh V28 brewed by Une Annee Brewery in Niles, IL. Has a mild malty orange juice aroma. Flavor is very unusual, sweet but with some sour up front, green apple like sours that fades to a hop bitterness at the end. It has a very creamy malty flavor, some banana mixing with unripe orange. There's a spice in there as well, allspice maybe. Very creamy mouthfeel but not as creamy as it looks. Ends with more spice and banana notes as it warms, leaves my lips and mouth with a slightly numb tingle. The 8.5% ABV seems low after drinking it.
  9. Measure what you have. Chances are it is AR-15 rifle length but you never know with these things.
  10. Yes, the Armalite AR-10 rifle length gas tube is longer. If you search for it here you will find others with the same fix needed. https://www.armalite.com/product/10007010-ar10-rifle-length-gas-tube/
  11. You should not need to swap anything in the recoil system as long as they are 308 AR rifle buffer and rifle spring. I'd check the gas system, maybe misaligned gas block? Can you post a picture of the gas tube end in the upper, from bottom of the upper, straight above the end of the tube. Could be it needs more lube and more rounds, lots more surface area to mate on these big frame rifles.
  12. I had always been told the gas tube was designed as the weak point in the system. When it fails it's an easy fix.?... @98Z5V explanation of not work hardening with heat makes the most sense though.

  14. Magazine looks like mine after 20 rounds suppressed. Those cracks and stripped threads are not encouraging.
  15. Long and slender! Looking forward to hearing about the suppressor angle on that build the most.
  16. ahhhh, never mind............
  17. I found a guy with a brass prep philosophy that I like, he claims neck tension is the most important thing to get right and skips deburring flash holes and the like. He shoots LR matches and owns a reloading die company; http://www.precisionriflemedia.com/podcast/2019/3/28/prm-105-whidden-gunworks looks like he has some good stuff for all those little tweaks people like on ammo; https://www.whiddengunworks.com/
  18. Don’t forget the safety factor, knowing where your bullet will hit is important. Getting close with your eyeball first can avoid those rounds striking in unknown locations.
  19. Plastic surgery has made big advances.
  20. That sounds like the old school punk from the late 70's, good stuff!
  21. Different animal, low mass is for a race gun not the all in for reliability of the Surefire. You could drop the Surefire in any standard AR and increase reliability, to a point, It's made for working weapons. The low mass stuff requires adjustable gas blocks and special spring and buffer system to be reliable, and even then I wouldn't use them for a duty type weapon.
  22. I want one, maybe in a few years when the price comes down a bit or someone else is making a cheaper version.

    Rain

I do use a spray with that most summers, have a can in the truck somewhere, it’s government issued if I ask. Not sure why I hadn’t got it out yet. Usually sprayed the boots and my orange safety vest, stuff always kept those Mississippi chiggers off me. Thanks for jogging my memory, might save me from one of those nasty tick borne diseases 👍
  25. Nice, I hadn't seen that block before, betting I'll have one before long. You surprised me with this find, coming from a man that doesn't believe in adjustable blocks.
