  1. Did someone say headlamps? https://www.shutterstock.com/search/large+breasts Okay, I'm bored.
  2. The $115 G2S arrived yesterday, along with all the swag. Nice early Christmas present. I'll have to see if any of my children's friends want the hat, stickers and patches. Spread the gun culture!
  3. A good trauma kit for starters. Then the usual clothes, firestarter, etc.
  4. It arrived. Man, this thing is big. Well made, strong zippers, lots of pockets. It will fit a 16" upper and lower, but just barely. I really don't like the compression straps on the sides. You have to unbuckle them in order to fully open the main pocket. I guess I can live with that.
  5. I watched most of the game yesterday. I agree, one of the best renditions of the National Anthem I've ever heard.
  6. Hmmm. Where would you give it to them?
  7. The guy is an f'ing moron. Does he really think eating veggie burgers is going to "save" the world from the non-existent problem of "carbon footprint"? Apparently he and too many others do. Science education is sadly lacking everywhere. I'm not arguing the point of eating veggie burgers. If people want to eat them more power to them. Some veggie burgers taste great... especially with bacon and cheddar cheese on top. But you're not going to affect anything by doing so.
  8. Checking over my loading notes, I'd have to agree with you that that is a general trend. Must be something unique to the gas systems of M1A versus AR10 308AR rifles (for you "purists"). What an excuse to get out and check this with all my rifles!
  9. I don't think 42 grains is enough to bend an op rod of an M1A, they're pretty stout. However, I have found that accuracy in the M1A/M14 seems to respond better to charges at the low end of the charge limit. Doesn't seem to matter if it is ball powder or stick. Groups tend to spread out as the charge weight approaches the max. Just my experience in my rifles.
  10. I don't know anything about this outfit, but I'm passing it along for any of you who might need a BCG. DPMS style complete BCG. http://daytonatactical.com/collections/ar-10-308-parts/products/308-ar-10-complete-bolt-carier-group-308-ar10-dpms-style
  11. /\/\/\ That's interesting. I had the best results (to date) with the exact same combination, except 41.8 grains of RL15. Maybe I'll have to load down a bit and experiment. What kind of velocities do you get with that?
  12. Welcome from the swamps of LA. You must have some enormous arms to tote a 16 foot carbine around...
  13. I ordered a 5.11 72 Rush backpack in black. Very good reviews, plenty of room, and 5.11 had a website sale that was ~10% less than Amazon Prime, and with free shipping! Couldn't beat that with a stick.
  14. Reminds me of a dirty joke. Is that why some people don't make good engineers?
  15. Damn you people. You keep forcing me to spend money. At $115 I couldn't pass this one up.
  16. That's a big thing down here. It produces a wonderful bird, but is very non-cost-effective unless you get several families together to share the cost of the peanut oil and someone already has a large deep fryer. First time I ever had a deep fried turkey was in Africa in the spring. We got a shipment of turkeys in with our other supplies, and one of the contractors had the equipment. I thought it sounded weird to deep fry a bird, especially as a Yankee who had always had a roast turkey up to that moment. Was I ever wrong! If you've never had a well-seasoned, Cajun fried turkey you are really missing out.
  17. Okay, rephrase that. Knowing full well that all barrels behave that way, I'm amazed at how accurate these rigs can be
  18. Just heard that news on the radio. Ted Kennedy has a new roomie in hell. Burn you bastard.
  19. Makes me wonder about the accuracy of such a set up.
  20. Aloha snackbar!!!!
  21. Absolutely. I hope it stays put for you, but keep an eye on it. Two if you can spare them. Also, the G2S is wonderful. Have it in an AR15 lower and it is great. No, its pins don't walk.
  22. Going thru it. Good suggestions, lots of good gear to choose from.
  23. Take a look at my TNArms build in the builders' section. Weight is there. When using the TNArms polymer lower, be aware that you are going to need anti-walk pins for the fire control group. The polymer is slick enough that the pins are going to walk out on you. Other than that, I really like my TNArms poly lower.
  24. Over a dozen murders in Chicago every week and this a$$hole is concerned with squirrels gnawing at trash can lids? He got his just desserts.
  25. /\/\/\/\ Ouch, my eyes!
