  1. Think I will get one for transport purposes.
  2. Do you bolt them to the bed of your pickup?
  3. Funny, I saw one for that price at a Florida gun show in January, but I didn’t have proof of property ownership yet, so I couldn’t buy it. Haven’t seen that good a price since.
  4. Thinking about that stainless Ruger 1911 in 10mm.
  5. Mission accomplished.
  6. Consider it done. Maybe start talking what is the best stopping power versus dinosaurs. Personally I would go with 9mm soft points, as you would want to penetrate deep enough to reach the dinosaur’s vitals, and a 45 moves too slowly to penetrate that deeply. A 10mm would be best, however. Against a necro’ed dinosaur, its a moot point, as they are dead already.🤐

Nice! Spent the weekend catching Coho and Brown trout. Nothing exceptional on size, so no pics. Had a couple of nice fish fries though.

    End of an era

Nice rationalization if you are a corporate CEO who has raided the company retirement system to increase shareholder value and establish golden parachutes for himself and his upper management team. Which happens to be an even newer trend then that of “retirement”. I assume then you will be rejecting your retirement plan? Of course not. The point is that the concept of retirement gave impetus to people putting up with the drudgery and physical damage of a job, particularly a tough one like the trades. I would rather see forty million or whatever put into employee pension plans, then as a bonus for a short term CEO for “increasing shareholder value” often by eliminating the company pension plan. Corporate and upper management greed is a large part why pension plans have disappeared. The triad of industry used to be workers, management, and shareholders. Now the system is skewed towards benefiting management and shareholders at the expense of workers. It needs to get back to an equal balance benefitting all three.
  17. Get a reloading press and save your 308 brass
  18. Have a similar problem. My pyloric valve no longer works to keep things from backing up. Mimics a heart attack. But under control now with Prilosec. Prefer Jameson’s or Bushmills any way.

Amen. The retirement system in this country has become a dumpster fire.
  20. General Buford’s calvarymen on Cemetery ridge on the first day of the battle were armed with Spencer breech loaders, it would be interesting to see if there were fewer of those found loaded then Springfield and Enfield muskets used by the Union and Confederate infantrymen, respectively. If so, it could be a function of the complicated procedure needed to load a musket in the heat of battle. Probably a lot of factors. “The Killer Angels” movie, later renamed “Gettysburg” is a great movie. The Killer Angels book was very good as well. Walking that battlefield was a very memorable experience, especially for a civil war history buff like myself.
