Right on about the misinformation, but I don't think it comes from ignorance. Obummer has a world view that says we peons should not have guns, that we should be subservient to our "wise, all-knowing, gotta-protect-us father figure government". I think massive confiscation is not impossible, but highly unlikely. What is likely are moves like we saw in Seattle, enacting a tax on each gun sale, and on each round of ammo. And the latter will be enacted on bullets, primers, powder, gun parts, etc. And don't underestimate the effect of massive amounts of misinformation. The anti-gunners are terribly ignorant of basic gun technology, as simple as the difference between automatic and semi-automatic weapons, rates of fire, and the actual facts behind the statistics they are fed by an uninformed, sensation-seeking, left-wing lacky media. I predict taxation, incremental regulation growth, and an insidious campaign of misinformation.

Interesting. Everyone so far seems to have missed maybe the most important phrase in POSOTUS's speech. He said that we recognize we may need to limit our freedom in order for innocent people to be safe. Extremely dangerous. So we need a bullet that will accurately and reliably punch 1/4" steel, and still prove consistently lethal on a "teeny-tiny-torsoed Taliban-y". Happy New Year to you all! Spent time this afternoon with my son routing out another 80%, and this evening with my grandson, hanging a barrel, gas block, handguard and flash hider on an upper. Great way to finish 2015, yes?
