I had a complete rifle granade kit with a special sight and the launcher I found at a army surplus store in the 1960s. It also had the special gas valve that replaced the screw in plug in older M1 rifles. M1s we had in the armoury in the1960s came with the gas cylinder plug. The rifle grenades I saw included a special blank round packaged with the garnade. When I was in B company at ITR in Pendleton we all had our web slings marked for shooting granades the rifle butt set on the ground and used the left foot on the sling to get the max distance for the launch (rifle was at about a 45 degree angle for max range and to clear obstacles.

Received my sling for my new M1A NM rifle today also the Bassett Engineering scope mount.

Are you shooting from a table? with a rest?, sandbag? sling?or Bi-pod?. what kind of environment (Wind and light) were you shooting in? What trigger are you using? We need pictures of rifle handguard. Scope and mount. Did the rifle function well no fail to feed, extract or eject? Brand of Ammo, please What did the bore, brass and chamber, BCG etc. look like post range? did you do a through post range cleaning? Don't get excited, first range trips are often hectic. specially with a new build and new platform. Do you have a good break in plan for you and the rifle?
