  1. She just looks like a babushka to me. Maybe my Russian bias is showing. I didn't like it a whole lot when that Russian Bear bomber orbited the Coral Sea, trying to take pictures.
  2. I love it. Feeding the pigeons in Russia, 2020!
  3. Welcome from Arkansas
  4. A friend sent me this. It's available on Amazon, but I didn't include the link. I couldn't decide whether to put on "98 needs this" or just help all y'all! I decided to be generous. How to Talk to Your Cat About Gun Safety: And Abstinence, Drugs, Satanism, and Other Dangers That Threaten Their Nine Lives The cats of America are under siege! Long gone are the good old days when a cat’s biggest worries were mean dogs or a bath. Modern cats must confront satanists, online predators, the possibility of needing to survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, and countless other threats to their nine lives. For over four decades, the American Association of Patriots have stood at the vanguard of our country's defense by helping to prepare our nation's cat owners for the difficult conversations they dread having with their pets. Written in a simple Q&A format, How to Talk to Your Cat About Gun Safety answers crucial questions such as, “What is the right age to talk to my cat about the proper use of firearms?” and “What are the benefits of my cat living a lifestyle of abstinence?” and especially “Why does my cat need to use the internet? Can’t he just play with yarn like cats used to do?” Our country—and our cats—stand at a precipice. It will take courage, and it will take hard work, but armed with the knowledge within these pages, we can make our cats—and America—great again!
  5. No, brother, that's a lovable brother! Well, maybe he wouldn't be to me, but I'll bet he is to somebody sitting in that car!
  6. Welcome from Arkansas. I don't have any experience with PSA, but I'm sure someone will be along shortly who does. Lots of good info on this board.
  7. And what's stopping you?
  8. Schiit, I don't have much money, but I've got less time. No, I'm not looking at my bucket list (yet) but I am thinking about shciiit that's not really worth my time.
  9. Gosh — who could ever have seen that coming? 🤣
  10. "But baby, you said ..." has gotten me out of a lot of hot water. It was still fukking warm water, but at least it wasn't boiling anymore.
  11. Welcome from Arkansas.
  12. My dad wasn't in the D-Day landings, but he served in the Pacific Islands. He had the scars from hand-to-hand combat knife wounds (I have his purple heart) but he never said a word about them. My mom told me a couple of stories, but either he was one bad-ass MF'er or she exaggerated a lot. She WAS known to embellish a story now and then, but some uncles and older cousins tell me he was the real deal. He was killed in a railroad accident when I was 7, so I never got the chance to really get to know him. This is just my salute to him.
  13. I think I know this guy!
  14. And welcome from Arkansas!
  15. And now I'm ready to meet a new brother!
  16. Yeah, i hear you. But then again, I was accused of robbing the cradle when I got my wife. 35 years and counting, so you should all grab one of those sweet young things like I did! 😍
  17. Welcome from Arkansas

  19. I'm sorry, but I can't. It hurts too much.
  20. Yo, knuckledragger! You've got it just right. If you STFU and listen to these people, it'll save you much time and effort. Welcome aboard!
  21. Sorry, I have to challenge the bit about the media and crickets. https://www.foxnews.com/us/terror-related-shooting-at-nas-corpus-christi-prompts-search-for-possible-2nd-suspect https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/shooting-at-corpus-christi-navy-base-investigated-as-terrorist-attack-fbi-says/2020/05/21/63111df2-9ba8-11ea-ac72-3841fcc9b35f_story.html https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/21/us/naval-air-station-corpus-christi-lockdown/index.html https://www.cbsnews.com/news/corpus-christi-shooting-terrorism-fbi-texas-naval-base/ https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/21/us/nas-corpus-christi-shooting.html And there are plenty more. The msm may not be telling you about her heroism (and it's that, in spades!) but they're covering it and in a positive (as in, reporting the facts) way.
  22. I've got a small generator and two chain saws, so I'm okay on that front. But to finish out the flavor of this thread, I finished a cruise on the USS Coral Sea in 1968. I walked off that boat (yes, I know it's a ship!) with a large wad of cash money that I'd made by loaning money to card players. Loan you $5, pay me back $7 on payday. They liked the arrangement and so did I. I walked into a West LA Chevy dealership and drove out with a 1968 Corvette 427 435 HP 4-spd positrac. According to Motor Trend, they'd never seen one of those engines that didn't show rear wheel hp on a dynamometer at less than 550 hp. I don't know, all I'm sure of is that was one neck-snapping piece of machinery! Those were fun days!
  23. And don't forget to include the VA and all the people who work there. They need our thoughts and prayers now more than ever.
