So, I'm looking at doing an eForm 1 at ATF so I can build a can for my DPMS .308. I've got the link, from the ATF, but it doesn't bring up a website, only the Windows blue wheel of boredom. Does anyone know if the eForm is working at the ATF?

That shiit's amazing! I like to think I'm pretty good at putting a tree down where I need to, but that's a whole league higher than I'm accustomed to.

I vividly remember the day I was sitting at my grandmother's table, with her and the rest of the family around, having dinner (I think it was Thanksgiving) after doing a tour off the coast of Viet Nam ('67-'68) when I said "pass the fukking salt." The silence alerted me that something was wrong, but it took me about a minute t0 figure out that it was me.

I'm awfully tired of seeing the "earnings this quarter" driving our businesses. The Chinese have a long-range viewpoint that says "win at the end" and we don't seem to recognize that as a genuine threat. I'd like to see someone who has a long-range vision propose something better.

Way back when, I wore a badge and carried a Combat Commander. I loaded the old Speer #4477 200 grain hollowpoint (the flying ashtray) over a 20% overload of bullseye. I worked up to the load, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. It worked in my weapon. But after around 5000 rounds, it bulged the chamber. (Yes, I know. It was too hot. But I wanted the velocity.) I replaced that barrel and went on about my business. As far as I'm concerned, it was a successful load, given its purpose. And the FBI (at a firearms trainers course) decided my load had the best combination of penetration and mushrooming of anything brought to the course. That ranged from .38 Specials to .44 Magnums (which blew through the test media and were judged as "fornicate me, I don't want to be shot with THAT!!).

They're all gorgeous. But some of them I can only love from a distance. 🤣

Wouldn't do any good, brother. A 300 pound cat would just eat you wherever you fell. Unless, of course, you got one of those rare ones that would purr all over you, then go kill your next door neighboor and bring him back to share with you. 😂

Overall, seems like a balanced view of things. But then again, I'm not an expert.
