  1. The local place here has AR's in 5.56 and 308. 5.56 pistols too. Think the are building them in the back.
  2. They were out of stock on the ranger profile. I bought a. Bear Creek upper knowing I would need a good barrel. $ 329 for a complete upper. The upper ,BCG and rail are worth that. Bear Creek barrel is shooting about 2 MOA and it is a heavy barrel. It will make a nice club.
  3. So you are taking the bolt carrier out of the equation. I would be MORE interested in the results of the head space measurement in the configuration I would be firing the rifle. Doesn't but almost closes on no go gauge my way. But closes on no go gauge when I measure like most people. Just doesn't sound safe to me.
  4. I use Varget for 308 and 223. That's the only rifle rounds I load right now. 6.5 creedmoor and Grendel are next.
  5. Lookin good.
  6. I'll give that a try. Thanks.
  7. We can find jars but lids are scarce here.
  8. Welcome from KY. Nice looking rifle. Hope it runs well for you.
  9. Welcome from KY.
  10. This is what I'm using.
  11. I sure don't. IIRC the Wilson I'm looking at is mid length.
  12. This one shoots 1 1/2 MOA and would do for hunting but is 20" long and a heavy barrel. Not what I want to tote around.
  13. I ordered an upper in 6.5 creedmoor from them. Rifle length gas system and the gas port is more like 1/4" to far forward. I plan on replacing the barrel anyway. Whole upper was only $329. Upper BCG and rail would have cost me that. Wilson Combat has a 16" barrel that I plan on getting soon.
  14. Midway's no name barrels are usually Bear Creek Armory.
  15. ThAt rail has anti rotation tabs. All those little bolts do is hold onto the barrel nut. As long as your rail isn't moving on the barrel nut you should be good to go. No need to really crank them down. Just snug enough so the rail stays in place.
  16. Glad it is running well for you.
  17. https://www.theamericanmarksman.com/Bullets-1st-7.62-308-147-GR-M80-FMJ-500-CT.html This is good ammo.
  18. If you use one like this that doesn't adjust some people put a spacer on the buffer tube before installing the brace . That gives you a longer lop.
