  1. #43 drill. Remember that the hole is going to be slightly bigger than the drill's nominal OD. The larger that hole is, the more it will affect the passage of the bullet... Just sayin'...
  2. You're right on, #43 is what I should've said. I'll fix my post quicklike. I am stupid tired ATM, shouldn't be posting anyways... LOL
  3. My bad brother, I knew you were right all along anyhow. Anyway, go ahead with the last word and I'll lock the topic so no one argues with you. :P ;)
  4. Mid-weight profile, 18.5" rifle length gas system.
  5. My gas port measures .093" which translates to a #43 drill (number drills, not fractional).
  6. The bolt also has relative linear motion, even when it's not moving with the carrier. It's not true to say it doesn't move, there's only one specific time in the whole cycle that it isn't moving.
  7. They probably would if they felt they were baiting intelligent people, but you have to remember that the common folk aren't intelligent and that's why we need a government to do our thinking for us. ;)
  8. It rotates, which is certainly movement, but it's description as a piston in this case is certainly not in the conventional sense but does meet the technical definition of a piston. It's movement is simply along a different axis than is typical of pistons.
  9. RIP Mr. Glick, we need more of your kind in our time.
  10. Magwa gets automatic points for having Hoppes #9 in plain view.
  11. Two different barrel extension types AR10(armalite) and LR308(DPMS). Bolt type must match barrel type.
  12. If I'm not mistaken, the LR308 is patterned exactly after the SR25 apart from the receiver type. The LR308 has a single radius where the SR25 has radiused corners like the Armalite.
  13. That's some good shootin'! Well done.
  14. What's wrong with that? Sometimes a guy needs something to help wash his crayons down...
  15. Brad Paisley is fun to watch jam out, that dude can pick!
  16. To anyone wondering about the continuity of this topic, it has been cleaned. Please continue the original topic by all means. If you're reading this as a banned member, please look up the "you will not be missed" thread and read it before going any further.
  17. That's nothing, I shot this one @ 500 yards, from my weak side while tap dancing across the top of a jackhammer while it was running. Not impressed? I forgot to mention I was blindfolded at the time. Yep. On a factual note, this is a 5-shot group and the first two shots went into the same hole just right of the bullseye. Therefore by your logic, that 2 shot group makes my rifle a .0005 MOA shooter because that's the smallest discrepancy I can measure for those two shots. Post up 5 targets, 5 shot groups apiece, then tell me about your .18 MOA rifle.
  18. A two shot group, really? You can't be serious...
  19. No thread is ever complete until it has been dead for 5 years and a newcomer necros it.
  20. APS- Awkward Piece of Sh** I'm not sure which is worse, Rob buying that bunch of Snake Oil, or Tom's unsettling need to play with Robo's junk. <laughs> <lmao> No but seriously.... :hail:
  21. The chamber area is directly in front of the barrel extension. Good luck getting companies to take on the liability of getting that area too thin. "Here's your custom-ordered pipe bomb sir, enjoy in good health."
  22. Don't get too down on your era, we're still puzzled by how you guys did the pyramids.... :D ;)
  23. Our flight finally is getting under way, we're onboard now. Thanks though guys, I'll have to look y'all up next time.
  24. OK, sweet.
  25. ... waiting on a connecting flight with my wife & kids. Is there anything here besides gang violence, or should I just get on the plane ASAP?
