  1. Ps. Fcuk you Philadelphia!
  2. Good thing there wasn't a 4th person in your pool... Do they make "Participation Ribbons" for old guys?
  3. I'm willing to make the call, if a member wants to take the order through their business.
  4. I almost feel guilty about drowning in my stack of LR-20 PMAG's..... almost...
  5. I really pictured something more like this...
  6. What sounds reasonable? Based on the information on their website, www.taccom3g.com; A complete upper assembly, with a buffer plug, is approx $518 after shipping Just the barrel, BCG and plug is approx $343 after shipping A 5% or 10% GB discount (not really sure what their overhead is, and what they can afford) would be in the neighborhood of $493-$472 for the complete upper, or $327-$312 for the basic builder parts. This is just a "ballpark" figure/estimate that I came up with, and is in NO WAY based on any conversation with Taccom.... I haven't even tried to contact them yet. This is strictly for interest purposes.
  7. Hmmm, maybe I should bring this to Tactical22.net too
  8. I'm thinking of asking for two options from Taccom; Their complete upper, and then just their barrel and bcg (for those of us who want to build on our own format). Any preferences?
  9. That Surefire SOCOM should be the ticket. Surefire doesn't put out garbage.
  10. I forgot... BAD Inc too! I'm thinking it's HIGH time for a mass 308AR.com order!
  11. Anyone interested in a .22lr build? I'm thinking of contacting Taccom3G about their .22 setup. I'm going to do the build regardless, but thought I'd bring in any others that may be interested. Also looking at triggers.... anyone have a preference for a trigger GB? If there's interest, I'll put in the leg work to see if a GB is even an option.
  12. Those super tight twist rifles are all designed to shoot really heavy (205gr-220gr) subsonic/suppressed rounds. They need that twist to stabilize those fatty proj's. If you started shooting the 147gr mil surp out of those, you'd burn the rifling out with all the extra pressure. They'll still print at long range though. I watched a video of Travis Haley shooting a 9" suppressed 300Blk at 750m... using a red dot! fast forward to 07:15 for the long range shooting
  13. Have you taken apart the bolt yet? I'd be interested to know the condition of the springs inside the bolt.
  14. The P220, P226, and P229 all hold their value really well
  15. You RRA guys are multiplying. Soon there might be too many for me to keep badmouthin' y'all... Welcome to our club house
  16. My cousin listens to audio books during his morning commute. He bought "50 Shades of Grey" and said it was like having a girl talk dirty to him every morning. Lol
  17. We have gone sooooo far off topic, I don't see this one ever recovering. Lol
  18. Wow. That looks identical to my Primary Arms 1-6x
  19. One of our members (Pappy) has one. I've been jealous about it since he joined... and I remind him of that constantly. It's one hellofa shooter too! Rumor was, the Colt CM901 was carried into Osama's compound for the final contact... just a rumor though. Several other companies were reported to have been "The" rifle. I like thinking it was Sam Colt who reached up from the grave and drug that terrorist bast are back into hell.
  20. By now, many of you are aware that I am a HUGE proponent of short barreled rifles. My target rifle, in .308 win, having only a 17" barrel, shoots amazingly at every distance I've attempted. Once again, someone with more money and time than I have, has printed an article saying the same thing I've been preaching for years. Get ready to cut your barrels. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/10/daniel-zimmerman/the-truth-about-barrel-length-muzzle-velocity-and-accuracy/
  21. I WANT! I WANT!!
  22. Build a 7.62x39 upper for the AR
  23. The BABC is even longer than the v1.5
  24. I use a rotary tool on most grips, to fit them properly to the .308 frames
  25. I have lost 85# since my trip to AZ last year. Small sacrifices and conscious decisions about food intake made up 100% of my weight loss. I didn't work out more than playing "Call of Duty" online. It's amazing how much STUFF is actually in our food.
