This is getting exciting!

A bull 18" barrel is more rigid than a bull 20" barrel. At that length, you will only lose about 60-100 fps depending on the load/bullet. I personally have 17" carbon fiber heavy-contour barrel. Fluting will help decrease weight, add surface area for cooling, as well as (arguably) add rigidity to the barrel.

Too bad it doesn't take some o the same Ambi features too. Would've been nice to see it marked for a short throw lever as well.

That's a great price for a PEPR mount. They were super popular a while back. I never saw a need for the top picatinny mounts. I don't care much for the piggy-back red dot. I really like my ADM AD-RECON mount though. I just put one on my 1-6x. Once I got it fit, it locked on tight. If the cost can be covered, I think the ADM is worth it. If the cost is too much, I think the Burris is good enough.

I have the blade set for my soldering gun. It works well enough. Just a little rough around the edges.

I tried to get the ice out of the freezer at my office. To make a long story short, don't use a screw driver to chip ice out of the freezer. One bad stab. One small hissssssss. I just said "fuck it" and walked out. I came back a week later and there were like 200 wet towels still piled in the corner and a big empty spot where the fridge used to be. They tell me that it just died... And no one knows why. The new fridge doesn't ice up :)
